As soon as I stepped in the fairy tale like garden of Hogon-in, it felt like I had been there already, previously, some other time, in another life. It was one of the strangest feelings I had ever experienced. My whole body was pulsing in excitement, I felt nostalgia, joy and tears on my cheeks. Feel free to scatter my ashes here when I'll be gone 🌱🍀🌿🍃🎋
~ Tranquil Respite from the Pilgrim Trail, Day 4, Takamatsu, Shikoku, Aug 30, 2015 ~ I'm deeply immersed in deleting, editing & re-editing images from my 1st Shikoku Pilgrimage, finding lots of forgotten pictures along the way. This was my 2nd time in fabulous Rutsurin Koen ("Chestnut Grove Park"), dating from the 17th century & one of Japan's most famous gardens. I visited again on my 2nd pilgrimage last year - both times I stealth-camped in a nearby vacant lot. I'll post a pilgrimage image daily for the next week or so.
