🦉 Owl 🦉
I have loved owls for as long as I can remember and now owls hold a very special place in our house. We have quite a few dotted around and this little guy came home with us when we went to Vienna without the kids a couple of years ago.
So when we went away to Amsterdam it would have been a shame to come back without an owl right?
So we got an owl tattoo each. I’m not even joking. It was *the most* spontaneous thing we have ever done just walking in a getting one (the vague design has been decided for a long time).
What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?
So in love with these book page beauties 📚Been finishing up two very different Bridal Bouquets today and can’t wait to share the photos ✌🏼They are off to the post office tomorrow so I’ll get my photo shoot up and let you all see!

Pretty pink and green little gem! We headed out of the cold and snow yesterday to warmer climes! 🏝☀️ Prepare for some flower and palm tree spam for a bit. 😉

Still swooning over yesterday’s wedding for Brian + Kelly. Their dark moody palette was so fun to work with!

The perfect rose, every time! We search the world for the finest growers and only select the best blooms!
Fallen for you! This journal journey of mine is incredible this weekend I have tried my hand at poetry! Something I haven’t done since school! Tell me what you think;
Autumn works her clear out magic,
Decluttering branches of their colors
Making rain of crispy leaves
Providing muse for those sat beneath
Shadow fingers reach out
Finding delight in bright sunshine patches
The flaming boughs give way to clear blue sky
Fall is through - A clearing is made.
The chattering voices slowly receded as the front door closed and I heard a car engine start on the drive. The teenager needed to practise his road skills. The husband had looked at the huge pile of leaves lying on the garden like a marmalade carpet and opted to take him out while I tackled the leaves... or at least spent a few hours moving them into piles while Wilson then thoughtfully redistributed them by running through the piles looking for his ball. I stood back after an hour and surveyed the scene. The lawn now looked like a swirly carpet and I wasn’t sure I’d achieved very much at all. I stood by the kettle waiting for it to boil. The front door opened with a bang followed by the teenager and a further swirl of leaves. ‘Hello’ I said. ‘How’d you get on?’ ‘Epic’, he replied sticking his head in the biscuit drawer. ‘It was epic or you were epic’? I asked. ‘Both’, he said chewing furiously. ‘Starving’, he said. ‘Where’s dad?’ I asked. ‘He’s coming’, he said. ’He said he needed a little bit of time’. ‘Time for what?’ I asked. ‘Dunno’, he replied. The husband appeared at the door. ‘Cup of tea?’ I asked. ‘Have we got any gin’? He replied. ‘Was it that bad?’ I asked passing him a cup of tea. ‘He’s doing ok’, he said. ‘Just doesn’t like to stop’. ‘Eh?’, I said, looking at the husband for a trace of a smile. No smile, just a slightly ashen grey colour. ‘Erm, that could be a sticking point’, I said to the teenager who now had his head in the fridge. ‘Why don’t you like stopping?’ ‘Well I don’t like starting’, he said. ‘Why not?’ I asked. ‘Clutch control’, said the husband, nodding into the distance. ‘Has a slight problem not stalling’. ‘Yeah’, said teenager. ‘I stalled six times on the roundabout and then the car kinda hopped around the rest’. ‘It’s just practise’, said the husband. ‘Dad said you’d take me out later’, he said. I felt a hot sweat break out. My eyes darted to the garden. ‘Leaves’. I said. ‘I can’t go out later, too many leaves’. ‘Did you actually move any this morning?’ said the husband suddenly coming too and looking out the window. ‘Yes’, I said defensively. ‘They’ve just redistributed themselves again. ‘It’s going to take all weekend’, I sighed.

It’s been awhile since I posted a shot of my laundry sink filled with roses. I couldn’t resist sharing these Parfum de Paris beauties, they haven’t been holding up very well in the harsh sun so they are less than perfect. All these blooms came from just four canes. #frommygarden#inmysink
Something of a languid drape. A relaxed back-stage after-show nonchalance and winding down in style.

“And the yellow sunflower by the brook in autumn beauty stood,
Till fell the frost from the clear cold heaven, as falls the plague on men,
And the brightness of their smile was gone, from upland, glade, and glen.”
Spending today cutting amber into cabochons for more of my sunflower pieces! If you’d had your eye on this design, this will be your last chance to snag one until the late summer. I’m aiming to have 10 total for the Autumn Idyll Collection on the 28th. Some will feature amber and some will feature other stones. As usual some will be rings and for the first time some will be necklaces! I’m off to hunker down at the stone cutting wheels. Hope you’re all having a relaxing Sunday! 💎🍃
