KURKUMA PASTE .... ! Bald ist er da der Herbst 🍂 Mit ihm kälter werdendes Wetter. Da ist es aus ayurvedischer Sicht empfehlenswert sich mit wärmenden Getränken und Speisen zu versorgen. When you wake up thinking it’s Monday but it’s actually Tuesday 🤦🏻♀️ my favourite thing when we get home after working away and shooting over the weekend is waking up and starting my day with a fresh mug of Golden Mylk 💫🥛 hotels are great but I love being reunited with my kitchen 🌿 I’ve literally tried so many different brands to get my turmeric lattes to taste good at home and this one is by far my favourite combination - I use 1 heaped teaspoon of the @wunderworkshop Golden Chia - tumeric, ginger and cardamon blend, with 1 cup of @plenishdrinks cashew milk, heated in and pan and then I pop it in my Nutri Bullet/blender for 15 seconds to give it a quick wizz and get it nice and frothy ☁️ and that’s it! Just as good as a barista one you’d get in a coffee shop but at a fraction of the price ⚡️ I actually bought 3 bags of golden turmeric from @wunderworkshop during their ‘Black Friday’ sale last Christmas for around £30? and I still have loads left! 🌜Let’s talk about Healthy Sleep Habits!!🌛
I think we can all agree that sleep is absolutely critical to vibrant health. You can eat all the kale in the world, but if you’re consistently lacking sleep your cells won’t maximize the benefits of those leafy greens. In other words, long-term health depends on regeneration that occurs during sleep. Sleep stimulates secretion of hormones that regulate tissue regeneration, liver cleansing, muscle building, breakdown of fat stores and normalization of blood sugar.
Ever wonder why you’re so cranky and maybe more negative when you’re lacking those important zzz’s? That’s because sleep is one of the most important things we can do to support your adrenal glands and is ESSENTIAL for brain health and optimal function.
Since my late nights in college studying (and partying lets be real), I’ve struggled with sleep hygiene. I was definitely NOT waking up at 6am brewing up some bullet proof coffee on the way to the gym with my books in hand. I would be completely lying to you if I said that. These poor habits compromised my immune system (gut health) and adrenal function – so much to say on this, I’ll have to do a post on this later.
Here are some tips and tricks that REALLY help my sleep hygiene. The key is to stay consistent, which I’ll talk about in a bit.
MINIMIZE OR AVOID STIMULANTS:
1. Avoid alcohol (wine, beer, and hard liquor) within 3 hours of bedtime.
2. Avoid caffeine-containing beverages or foods after 2 pm; if sensitive to caffeine, avoid it after 12 pm noon. Read the labels of everything you eat and drink!
3. Avoid Sudafed or other decongestant cold medicines at night. Some medications may have stimulating effects.
4. 4. Complete any aerobic exercise before 6 pm (or at least 3 hours before bedtime). I’ve always preferred working out at night, but once I forced myself to start working out in the mornings, my sleep has improved DRAMATICALLY.
CALM NIGHTTIME TENSION AND ANXIETY:
1. Avoid anxiety-provoking activities close to bedtime.
2. Avoid watching the news before going to bed.
3. Avoid reading stimulating, exciting materials in bed.

Turmeric latte- ing all around town!
“Meeting “ beverage of choice. Gotta love work meetings!
Just attempted my first (super quick) turmeric latte and it’s EVERYTHING!
So easy, so yummy and so ANTI-INFLAMMATORY (yaaaas)
• Almond milk (you can substitute with any of your fave milk alternatives) • 1tbs turmeric •1tbs cinnamon •vanilla pod (optional) •coconut oil (optional)
• organic honey (substitute: maple/agave syrup - or without sweetener - it’s pretty sweet on its own)
On a medium heat pour in the milk substitute (a mug full) add turmeric, cinnamon, vanilla and bring to boil until it gets as HOT as you like, sprinkle some black pepper, stirring the whole time and ET VOILA you have yourself a DREAMY alternative to coffee! You can get SPICY with ginger, nutmeg and cardamom to pack in more of the good stuff! 🤪 good, enjoy!

Cafe hopping must continue in Montreal! This time I stopped by Barley which features a cereal bar and an interesting take on lattes...cereal latte.
The splash of color makes it easy on the eyes but I still prefer my traditional latte. I love the idea of fusion but sometimes we end up losing the OG in coffee.
