There are a lot of bad drivers out there and as your insurance agents we want to make sure that you have all the right coverages to protect you, your family and your vehicle. 1 out of every 6 drivers in Oklahoma don’t carry auto insurance. That is why it is important for you to meet with your agent to figure out what coverages will protect you in the event that the unexpected happens . .
That’s what I’m taco’n about! 🌮 〰️
Created a delicious meal at home of American style tacos. Made way too much pico de gallo which will be added to everything I eat for the next few days. Part of the #sharonathome series. 😂
Yesterday was so fun! We started working towards our summer goal hair 😻 She came in with 4 different lines of demarcation from at home coloring with box dye; her natural hair color at the roots, a band of light brown, a band of dark brown/orange right below the light brown, and blonde ends below the brown/orange. We went in with bayalage and heavy babylights and tapped her root out at the end to create a Demi shadow root, so it is a little darker than her natural but it will fade out over time not leaving behind that line of demarcation. I’m blessed she trusted me with this transformation to not only get her on the track of becoming blonde, but to also keep the integrity of her hair our number 1 priority 💓

THE Skin Sin:
When we consume sugar in all its forms, particularly refined sugar 🍫 it quickly attaches itself to proteins and fats in our bodies. This is called glycation. The real bad news is sugar has a particular affiliation with dermal proteins. The byproduct of glycation is stiffening of connective tissue, inflammation, wrinkles and sagging 👵🏻. If you add poor lifestyle choices into the mix - smoking, prolonged stress, UV exposure, drug use (prescription or non), alcohol, lack of exercise then you have a perfect storm.
We can counteract the damaging effects of glycation by drinking @skinade, having enzyme treatments, and using a custom transdermal skin care regimen to repair and protect your collagen!
So the next time you have a sugar craving try an apple, orange or another low glycemic index fruit 🍎. If you must have chocolate 🍫 try a really dark 85% cocoa bar.

We’ve got something short and sweet for your Monday... Meet Zenida 🤸🏽♀️our newest Fellow family member! You might recognize her from our friends and neighbor Heirloom Rustic Ales. She’s a true Tulsan and believer in “locals supporting locals”. Come by for a cup of coffee and welcome Zenida. We are just thrilled to have her!
Right now i have been focusing on R&R! It’s so easy to get caught up in the world of “Busy” checking insta, responding to texts, making appointments. I sometimes just feel a constant weight on me to just stay going that i forget i need to rest and recharge. I NEED to eat healthy, i NEED a good nights sleep and i NEED to be present with my family. Since I’ve been doing this (which is actually hard to maintain) i feel so recharged when i come to work and I’m overall so much happier! Who knew?!? What do you do to recharge?!

There are some new faces on here, so let’s do five random facts for kicks: • I’m mostly Danish.
• I bought my Yamaha CP-70b piano in high school before a car, because #priorities .
• my brother, sis in law, friend, and I met a legit motorcycle club the Mongols several years back, and they nicknamed me Little Yellow because of my moped.
• I named my current home #AndersenSurfShack not due to a coastal theme, but because the lifestyle and purpose represented in @ninafreudenberger’s #surfshackbook interviews inspired me so much.
• the first year I moved to TUL, I traveled three months outta that year, and the second year I was out of town four full months.
Tell me something about you in the comments below! Your current favorite band or song, any upcoming trips, a project you’re excited about, anything — I’d love to hear!

As i come up onto my 10th year at the same salon I feel like i have been doing so much reflecting over how far i have come.
I remember being the 18 year old sitting in the break room with all the girls from beauty school. They would do their typical Mazzios dinner order and i would simply say no thanks I’m not that hungry, knowing good and well i was STARVING! Everyone would eat and “conveniently” there always seemed to be enough left at the end to offer me afterwards.
At one point i was waking up at 5am to work in the cafeteria then again at lunch, going to college during the day, playing college soccer, then going to beauty school at night 3 nights a week and the nights i didn’t have school i worked at Target until midnight.
One time a client gave me a whole $5 bill at beauty school and I splurged and went and bought chips and some Tostitos cheese dip from Walmart. I planed to savor each and every bit of it until i woke up the next morning and my roommate at the time literally had licked the jar clean. My heart broke. Literally broke and I called my mom crying big tears over it.
Now when I think of these past 10 years, i think of that jar of cheese dip. I am so grateful for where my career has taken me and that i still love everything about it. It’s taken a lot of grit and perseverance and so will the next 10 years but I’m ready and excited for it 👊🏼
