I can't tell you how many brown skinned women told me they couldn't pull this colour off when I said I had this colour yarn; they said that purple was too dark for us and it would be more suitable to a fair skinned woman instead. But then, fair skinned women started telling me these colours were too vibrant for them as well, and that they're better suited for brown skinned women! It's so strange to see how each category thinks the other is what's more beautiful and who could pull off what. Personally I love getting my hands on new colours and embracing what they look like against my skin. And if I was fair skinned or much darker skinned I'd still feel the same way.
The only person that stops you from doing what you want, is YOU. Half the time nobody else is thinking about the insecurities you find in yourself. We are our biggest enemies. But we can also be our own best friends, and one step towards that is loving the skin that you're in and wearing the colours you love, not the colours that you think are socially acceptable according to your skin colour! You can pull off whatever colour you want with the right attitude 😘
With that being said, after posting pictures in this colour, it sold out. 😊 #beconfident#bebold#crotchet#bikinitop#bikini#project#selftaught#amethyst#cute#handmade#outdoorgirl#outdoors#getoutside#trinidad#islandlife#explore#nature#naturelover#naturephotography#fierce#model#caribbean#adventures#wanderlust#relaxing#becaribbeanstrong#swimwear#islandgirl#caribbeangirl#seetobago
