Aaand that’s a wrap! Time flew by this weekend at the first ever @iracelikeagirl Triathlon Training Camp! Got in some really solid training hours with these super inspiring ladies and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Huge shoutout to @angelanaeth@kcweber@velofixorlando and all the amazing sponsors that helped make all this possible. Such an incredible learning experience and I definitely have lots to work on when I get home — onwards & upwards from here 💫
A month of travel, training and even some racing next month as I head to Singapore for @superleaguetriathlon with @teammaccax!
Who is your pick to take out the series? Can my MX relay team take out the relay event?

Less than 4 weeks till the @bunburytriclub Classic Triathlon.
Bunbury historically hosted the season opener for Triathlon in WA for over a decade through the 90’s and 00’s. Bunbury has a rich history of racing and the club has developed some outstanding talent including Olympian @ryan_bailie, his sister Ash a world junior medallist, one of WA’s most enduring triathletes Allan Holmes and new wave talent like Zeke Tinley.
Great to see the club galvanise to bring the most prestigious Classic Distance event of the year to town.
Can’t wait to call all the action Feb 17.
Feeling Fabulous as I start a new week of Training. Spent a lot of time in my Rapid Reboot Recovery Pants today! Don’t feel that torn up from my obnoxious TM Play Date yesterday😂

For those that know me, know I am a big advocate of strength work to compliment endurance training. I program it into all my athletes training programs. I am doing some continuing education on that topic and really excited to implement some new concepts to my athletes and myself! It’s not about just lifting weights but more about what’s the best style to compliment your body type, age, race distance, weaknesses/strength and more. ~~~

... " Estas en el proceso, no se
forma un deportista en un día, RECUERDA toma años ...por eso tienes que tener claro el camino, eso hace que este sea más fácil y placentero..." Palabras de mi coach @rodriguezgrandayadiel.
Y aqui estoy DISFRUTANDO el proceso.
Gracias a @uneformandoatletas
I have no idea where I am in this pic. That’s how off season and base building is going! 🤣 Lots of easy mileage the last 4 days that still managed to put some lactic acid in my legs! I’m trying to savor this “easy does it” time and trying to forget the days I’d bust out 100 miles in the same day WAY faster. 🤣 I’ve never had a whole year to train specifically for something and that’s what’s exciting me and what keeps me consistent these days. I tell my athletes all the time that it isn’t always about your pace and mileage on certain training days... it’s just the showing up consistently and putting in the work daily that leads to great results! Don’t get frustrated where you are right now in whatever phase you’re in! There’s a purpose to it all! Just keep your mind on the goal!
The single best return on investment in terms of time spent vs. performance gains is HIIT 📑 Scientific study after scientific study has shown that short bouts of super intense efforts yield the same, if not more, positive adaptations as longer, steady efforts 📍This is great for triathletes (and most everyone else) because we have limited time between life, work, and training 📍You have to be careful though and not take this to mean that every session needs to be an absolute crusher of high intensity 📍Your body can’t handle that repeatedly. So instead, it needs to come in short bursts. For example, my run workout tonight was 45 minutes total. 15 minutes of easy jogging to warm up followed by four rounds of 2:30 above race pace with 5:00 of easy recovery running 📍So, in 45 minutes I did 10 minutes of high intensity, 35 minutes of easy efforts. This is critics because it keeps us out of the “grey zone” or that dreaded “Zone 3” where it’s easy enough to go forever but not hard enough where we’re gaining any fitness 📍Many triathletes point to the 80/20 way of training, and I agree. 80% easy efforts, 20% hard, high intensity efforts. This yields the most positive adaptions so you can perform your best on race day

If I don’t fall a sleep while putting my kids to bed I tend to crash in the couch around 8 pm. Hence, evening sessions isn’t my thing. But there is something magnetic about a spinning studio filled with power women. So happy I fought the mondaze and joined @teampowerwoman spinning class tonight! Thank you @jessicaclaren and @queenblomberg for the lovely rush of endorphins 😅
