A beautiful couple of hours spent on the Cornish coast this week, we were doing a delivery in St. Austell so spotted by Charlestown, we sat and watched the waves before getting a little food in a nice pub, it was magical to spend a couple of hours exploring, using my camera and just being together, the sun even had his hat on! —

Going to the Blue Mountains last weekend made me a bit nostalgic for all the adventures I went on when I lived in New Zealand. When Michael and I lived in Auckland, we went somewhere new almost every weekend. We were super broke but we made adventuring a priority and we saw SO MUCH of New Zealand. I’ve been thinking lately of buying a used car because I miss the freedom of weekend adventures. I haven’t seen nearly enough of Sydney or the surrounding area after living here for almost a year (!!).

It's so easy to let to-dos and self-imposed expectations get in the way for what's actually important; to enjoy our short time on this wonderful planet 💚⠀

I could never imagine to be so close to a majestic animal like Somboon. After I cooked for him and he got to know me, it sparked between the two of us😉. He is a former working elephant but today the Sonchana Farm takes care of him. Luckily he is free to move around and there are no hooks and sticks involved.
I still feel ambivalent about animals who aren‘t absolutely free and this elephant should never have been working in the first place. How do you deal with something like this??
