Back in our old home town meant I had the chance to visit old friends and see our old kitty again. My heart flooded over with happiness being able to see him and hear his little meow 🐈. At first he was a little wary as to who we were but after a few minutes he was back to his snuggly self.
Sometimes life takes odd turns and tough decisions need to be made, it's so nice when they turn out well in the end ☺️ He is so loved and cared for by his new Mum Jessika in his forever home 🐾
In 2017 I have done a DNA test and I must say it was a BIG surprise!
Turns out my dad’s ancestors come mainly from the British Isles while my mom’s are to 40% of Saami decent.
Now the Saami are a tribe of reeindeer herders up in the Nordics. Until recently they lived a nomadic lifestyle very close to nature. Exposed to utterly cold winters and up to 24h of sunlight in summer.
Now I understood where my inner wilderness comes from and why I always felt drawn to Scandinavia 🇸🇪 🇳🇴 🇫🇮 While my passport might say I am German, I am not German by heritage.
In fact we are all a wild mix of different ethnicities and should gracefully accept that we are united by our mutual African origin!
Once we understood and embraced that we are all brothers and sisters, racism, nationalism and discrimination should become obsolete. But I know we humans are not smart enough for that. It would be too easy 😉
So if we insult someone by their heritage, remember it’s like telling a “your mother” joke to your own brother 😉

SHORT STOP - MOOSEFARM 🇸🇪.
Today's destination was Oslo 🇧🇻. I was on my way until I heard about a moose farm. Since I love these animals above all, there was no other choice. I had to go there! 🙈 So, despite a little detour, this was my new destination. Unfortunately, it was overrun by german tourists, but the animals are still cute 🤷🏻♀️😍
#summerindenmark and in my beautiful simple woodhouse by the Sea. Here is so quit. No cars and people yelling. Just the birds and the wind. I want to stay here but I work in #Copenhagen and love the city. Do you know how it feels to belong in more than one place? My favorite summerdress is from @madebymagnusdk . New blog post is here! Hop over to my blog to read it, the link is in my Bio.
In this post I'm covering the week 5, that I'm also sharing right now here in on Instagram. This was a pretty packed week, we visited a beautiful rest area Mellanfjärdem, then we headed towards Sundsvall, crossed the Högakustenbron (the High Coast Bridge), over the weekend we hiked the Skuleberget and ended the week in Sollefteå.
This was for sure a great week!
I'm slow with editing, so for now there is only the blog post, the next video will cover the week 3 and will be released on Saturday.
Scandinavian countries are perfect vacation spots blessed with endless scenic vistas, glorious culture and vintage history. Our tour begins with some of the world's greatest treasures of art and antiques at the Museum of Finland, take a joyful ride over the Nyhavn canal cruise, a beautiful way to admire Copenhagen city. Then embark a trip to Norway by boat and a scenic bus ride and a visit to Denmark's oldest theme park, Tivoli Gardens. Beside all these charming paths and cruises , Sweden also has a spectacular ancient Golden Hall at Stockholm city to offer.
Sunrises in this place are something special - the town nestled in the fjord is hidden from the light rays whilst the mountain peaks are saturated with beautiful light. #norway doing everything right, as per usual!
