never yet, not once, have you ever smiled at a stranger, said sorry to a friend, or marveled at the glory of nature, when sparks didn't fly, tears didn't roll, and praise wasn't sung for you behind the curtains of time and space.
2018 in review. 8 races accomplished this year. 5 half's and 3 10k's. Not too shabby. I had to cancel 4 races, due to all the chaos that affected me this year. This was a tough year, but looking at 2019 optimistically. God doesn't give you anything you can't handle. Yes, the road seems long, unfair, and tiring but you never lose faith or give up. I'm proud to say I handled every obstacle with nothing but strength, I never cracked or questioned, I dusted myself off, and kept going. I will continue to do the same no matter what comes my way. I mean what kind of person would I be if everything came easy to me? Wishing everyone a prosperous new year and never forget what you're made of. #run#runner#runnergirl#lala158#runfar#runhappy#runfierce#runlife#iloverunning#chasingfinishlines#noexcuses#miles#halfmarthon#travelingrunner#texasrunner#milestogo#passion
#fbf .....to TCS NY Marathon 2018.......a race I previously had no interest in running has now became one of my top 3 favorites. Why did I not want to? The size of the marathon scared me! 52,000 runners! How can that be organized I thought. Here is how my race experience went in quick words. The first stop was the expo. I got into the city Thursday. Low attendance so I was able to shop and experience the expo like I was a celebrity. Next, race morning. I was fortunate to have picked a hotel very close to the shuttle pickup to Staten Island. I got to my shuttle by 5:30 am and got right on!! What I feared also was the waiting! 4 hours I waited outside before my start time. I was lucky to have met a wonderful runner, now friend. Hi Rachel ...I also had perfect morning weather for this long wait. To running this event. Yes it was the most crowded race I’ve ever ran but that is what gave the experience a better experience! The only part that was a little crazy to me was the finish shoot. But by then your just so ecstatic to be done who really cares if it takes 30 minutes to get out LOL....Overall this race organization gets a 99.9% rating from me! Well done @nycmarathon
#tbt......to my first 24 hour race in 2017....The goal was to accomplish 50 miles. Once I reached my goal (which I honestly thought would take me all 24 hours) I asked hubby “well how far is a 100k?” I certainly felt strong enough to try and accomplish that next goal. That I did! I finished with 64.73 miles in 15 hours 30 minutes ...i lost 4 toenails and had several blisters all over my toes..BUT i am excited To be heading back in 4 days to try my luck again. Distance? I’m unsure of. The farthest I’ve ran since this date is now 82 miles. We will see BUT I think it’s such a spectacular way to ring in the new year. #goals#ringinthenewyear#ultrarunning#runallthemiles#run#travelingrunner#gomichellego#50miler#100kmiler#determination#inspire
Woke up early today and decided to knock out my run. I figured, if I was up I might as well run. Crushed an hour this morning, now time to get the kids ready for the bus. #guerrillarunning#guerrillarunner
