I'm already thinking about the next time I will visit Thailand in my head. I'm thinking I'll fly into Bangkok, hit up all of the cinemas, 🍿then head straight up to Chiang Mai and hang out there. 🇹🇭✈️⠀
Phuket was nicer than people said, but you can see the tourists are extremely separate from the locals. And Kata Beach, where we stayed, was extremely crowded and... Just dirty. 🚯 I'm not complaining, it's that way because of tourists like me. And on this trip I think I found out that I'm not a beach person at heart, take me to the mountains and the cities any day. 🏖️
FLAMINGOS!! Since you guys had so many questions about these cute little guys on my last post I figured I would dedicate a post just for them!
So where are they exactly!? The only way to see them is if you are staying at @renaruba for at least 2 nights (we were lucky to get around the 2 night min but it wasn’t easy since we did not know you had to stay there.) Once you have your room keys there is a boat that comes every 15 min to take to the private island and back! They sometimes give out day passes for $125 but its limit quantity and you have to be there 5am first come first serve so it’s not a guarantee that you will get a pass. The hotel route is better and you know you will 100% see them! The island itself is beautiful and it’s where these adorable flamingos roam free.
Can you get close to them? Yes!! They are used to humans so you can get as close as you want. If you have change the servers can exchange it for quarters and you can get flamingo food from a little dispenser to feed them. They might try to peck at your hand (or hair for me hehe) but it doesn’t hurt at all! It does get very crowded so if you want to avoid the crowds you might want to head over very early or later in the day and watch the sun set (my last photo was the sunset).
My next post will be a little guide to Aruba so stay tuned 💕🏝
