This run had it all... Literally... I can honestly say that I have never run anything as technical as this before. Large parts was physically impossible to run. It was an obstacle course of downed trees and widow makers, mud... Lord help us... Mud... Like my whole fucking foot disappear mud... I fell countless times, badly. Like complete wipe out. Once I had to lie down and check to see if my limbs were still attached. I was lost... Yup... Soooo many times it ended up not being funny. I ran into wildpig hunters, which I can honestly say I have seen more surprised to see me. They asked if I was lost 😂😂😂, apparently only the crazy folk come out there. No shit sherlock, even my GPS was concerned at one point. My watch died... My phone died... I ran somewhere between 20 and 40000 fucking kms of tripping, stumbling and swearing muggy dank bush. It wasn't my day. But that waterfall made it worth it. It sucked goat balls, and I cried at one point, as I met the end of my limits.... I didn't die. I can sort of walk. Lessons were learned. Humbled I was... My heart remains full even if I am so out of fucks I went into fucks deficits just to get my ass back to car and not just lay there and die. Happy Saturday my friends, feeling a bit bummed about your run, remind yourself it could have been a shit show like mine 😂😂😂 Ps... I totally fell in the video of myself running. You are welcome. 🐐 D6W6 of 50k training : Long run which I am totally going to say covers penance for 1997... #runwild#runalways#iloverunning#justrun#trailrunning#laufenmachtglücklich#runstrong#zerolimits#altrarunning#werunthis#running#runnergirl#laufen#runnersofinstagram#runnerscommunity#instarunners#instarun#instarunning#runnersworld#fitgirl#runninggirl#ultratraining
"Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead." .

I had a brilliant start to the year.. running well, setting PBs all over the show (including some I never thought I'd crack!). Now I'm back at a road bump 😒 but I'll keep looking ahead, and keep striving 👊🏻
Tomorrow morning my beautiful friend will attack another mountain Ultra and i will attack a mountain Beast!!! We’ve trained hard, came early to hike this elevation and adjust to the altitude and we’ve laughed so hard my stomach hurt!!! As my coach I’m learning that I need to listen to her and trust her and trust the process and i know she has me ready!!! As my friend I’m so darn proud of her!!! Many people think that coaches and trainers have it so easy but they are people too and they struggle as well. I’ve watched her work so hard, persevere through adversity and recover from injuries all while uplifting, encouraging and inspiring others to go for their goals!!! I’m so darn proud of you @ocrbyjennifer!!! You inspire so many everyday, many of whom you’ve never even met!!! Kick that mountains butt and have FUN doing it!!! Love you girl!!! 💕💪🏻⛰😘
Running progress is slow but so worthwhile. Left it today which in my best 5k. The right is last year. I’m not a good runner and I’ve only just started a proper training program. Anybody can get faster at running 🏃♂️. Consistency and patients is key. Getting in your workouts. I hope to be sub 25 mins before the end of the year
well... can't do much more to prep for it. In less than 12 hours I'll be making my way up Barr Trail hopefully to the summit of Pikes Peak before the cut-off times.
Haven't trained this intentionally since high school track. Just got an email from the race directors that said "prep for the worst hope for the best" in regards to weather. Could have snow. Hail. Wind. Lightning.
Or it could be sunny and calm. Who knows? That's part of the draw to this thing!
Whatever happens - here's to looking at something that seems insanely huge... and trying to conquer it.

It was hard to leave Alaska, as it is always difficult to leave the land that nourishes in only the way our ancestral lands can do. I knew it would only be for four days but four days in the lower 48 was that much less time soaking Alaska Summer. But as I make the journey north, I am filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the Shoshone-Bannock lands I was introduced to this week, their healing hot springs, rugged mountains, and stunning whitewater. Here’s to moving through life with an open heart and open mind.

Extrema tu ambición, tú sabes que el peligro es dudar.
Yo seré tu euforia 🎆 y tu incondicional
Sí, quizás importa, ser tu incondicional”
