I went to a #paintnight last night! It was such a good stress reliever after a tough week of insomnia and a nutrition exam. 🙃 I am so so tired even though I slept well last night, I guess my body needs more time to catch up. I can NOT WAIT until Thanksgiving! 🍗 I’m so pumped to see my sister, sleep lots and take a break from the school grind.
On the bright side ☀️ we had a just for fun throws competition at practice this morning, and I got a huge PR in the weight! I wasn’t even planning on throwing it this year. I guess lifting has been paying off! 💪🏻
I’ve got to write a story now for my creative writing class, but I may take a nap first... have a great weekend!

Morgenochtend vroeg hopelijk ook zo'n prachtige run, want dan ga ik voor @omroepgld op parkoersverkenning tijdens de @nnzevenheuvelenloop waar we een item van maken die in de live uitzending terecht zal komen. Direct daarna verzorg ik samen met @jansommerdijk ruim 2,5 uur het live verslag. Ontzettend veel zin in! 'Wie doen er morgen mee?'

I hear my friends say positive things about themselves all the time just to follow it up with a big BUT right after... like: That was a great workout, we hit all of our splits, BUT I messed up the pacing on that third set which slowed us down.
Don’t get me wrong- I do it too! And it’s good to strive for greatness and try to be your best self possible. But it’s also important (and difficult) to let ourselves be good enough just as we are in this moment. I’m trying to make less BUT statements and more AND statements.
Example: I have muscular, strong, long legs that I use every day to carry me through lots of miles AND I know I wouldn’t be the runner I am without them, so I’m gonna keep working them out every day. •
