In order to live your brightest, most vibrant life, first you have to be honest with yourself about who you are at the deepest level and what is important to you.
What is important ??? Who are you seeking your validation from??? The countdown to 40 is ON! 5 more days and it been a hard month for me personally. But the best is yet to come ... and even if i haven’t liked the person i have been lately...(since we are being honest) ... i can BE the person i would like to be STARTING TODAY!
These runs, although i dread them every week, have been teaching me so much about who i thought i was and who i actually am.. and they are helping me to close the gap to who I aspire to be!

DON’T HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHO CAN’T SEE YOUR FUTURE POTENTIAL❤️
Sometimes our dreams are SO fragile- that if we hang around the wrong people- they can be completely extinguished. We have to be the first adopter to our dreams- the one that holds onto them no matter what obstacles come up. So many people only choose to make goals that seem reasonable, the closest jump to where they are. That’s great- but if I want to make a flying leap in progress - I shouldn’t let a small dreamer convince me to dream small too. 🙃 I owe myself realizing my full potential- so sometimes you gotta kiss small dreamers goodbye- ya know, cause you don’t want to start limiting yourself to how they think too!
Soon after I met @tunderface - I fell into the overtraining hole that engulfed me for 2 years. It was SUCH a discouraging time. 😢But STILL during that time, you could not convince me that a sub-3 wasn’t possible. I didn’t tell many people about it- because honestly they would probably look at me like I was crazy- here I was regressing- moving in the opposite direction of 2:59- & in my last 3 marathons wasn’t even hitting the Boston qualifing time. I remember timidly telling Tyler how I planned on running a sub-3 to see what he would say. Without skipping a beat- he said- Yes- you could qualify for the Trials if you really wanted to! And he believed it 100%. I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. I am crying now just thinking of it. At that point, I felt like I had to hold so tightly to my dreams even though my fitness was nowhere near pulling off any of my dreams. I felt like I was the only one that believed in me & that having these big dreams was so foolish in light of how far I was from them. But in that moment- Tyler spoke such life back into them & reaffirmed the big things that I had in my heart.
I hope everyone has that person that speaks life into their dreams & into their heart - and that YOU are that person that speaks life into the lives of those you love. If you have big dreams, you CANNOT afford to hang around small-minded people.❤️ Running is SO much mental so do yourself a favor & only hang around people building you up! ☺️
