It’s been 4 days since my last post. The reason? It’s not me it’s YOU! A couple of days ago I was part of a panel talk and one of the questions I was asked was ‘What do you love and what do you hate about Instagram?’. I immediately responded with ‘Instagram is like a beast that needs feeding, in order for it to be nice back, it requires constant attention in the form of new and tasty treats.’ The fact that this was my first thought really stuck with me. I’d become that person afraid of letting my stories run out, intent on posting at certain times, worried about what would happen if I didn’t. So, I put my phone down and stopped, took a deep breath and gave you the finger. You see Instagram, guess what happened? Absolutely nothing around these parts, my engagements remained the same but something far more important happened at home. Stepping away from this world made my real world much brighter. OK, it’s no revelation that taking control of your social media time is a good thing but I would encourage anyone out there, if you’re worried it may mess with your mojo here, it doesn’t. Nobody will really miss you here but your family will be pretty darn pleased to have you back.
So Instagram, this is a big fat fudge you to all of your rules and demands. Expect to feel your tummy rumble because from now on it’s my rules!

Tonight I’m sharing my (finally) grouted tiles. Swipe through for a closer look. I went for a forest green colour. Anyone who has ever tried to find coloured grout will know it’s as hard as locating a yeti. So thanks to the marvellous @oxfordone for the advice of adding acrylic paint to white grout to get the colour you love. Waddayafink??
These tiles were VERY kindly gifted to me by @ripplesbathrooms .
One day I will plan a tile job and I will buy all the tile I need the first time and I won’t have to go back to the store for more tile 2, 3, 4 times. But not on this day. #construction#tile#menards#homedepot
