We like to remind people as often as we can that learning to skate is super hard! And that something that may look simple is actually very tough. Here’s @siannxo getting her pumping down and making it look easy! 💪🏼💕🎉
This is the point where I decided I cannot use my body to support my MH.
I've spent years despising myself and put food in my mouth to suffocate any positive thoughts I might have had as I didn't feel that I was worthy enough to deserve them.
A positive mind set can take you to places that you never thought possible.
I've had some really positive networking & experiences the last couple of weeks so I am going to keep this positive train Choo chooing ♡
When @raidamazones has got you feeling like an Amazon Woman! This week I’ve ran through mud, trails, pools of muddy water, next to wild animals, mountain biked for almost 50km with zero training and right now I feel like an Amazon! And I’m starting to think about my next challenge for when I return to London (anyone for sprint tri?😳🤣). Thanks to @raidamazones, all the wonderful women here and my partner in crime @susie_chan_ I’m starting to feel comfortable with the uncomfortable and conquering my fears🔥
HOME WORKOUT 🏋️♀️(no equipment needed) there’s an easy and hard option for each of the exercises 🌟 Squats/squat jumps
🌟 3/4 press ups/Full press ups 🌟Burpee/Burpee star jumps. 🔶Perform 10 of each exercise then 9 the 8 and so on all the way to 1 with as little rest as possible 💪🏻💪🏻
If someone was to just look at my Half Marathon PBs, it would show that year on year I have improved as a runner, which, I guess I have. But what these times don’t show is everything that has gone on in between. The training, the miles, the set backs, the injuries, the highs & lows (and there have been a lot of them!) but thankfully over this last year.. everything seems to be going in the right direction!
I’m glad that I have had to work hard to get where I am now. Because it means I don’t take ANY of it for granted. I know that my first half time is still a good time, but I wanted more! That’s just the type of person I am. And slowly, but surely I have kept chipping away.
If you have been following me for a while, you will know that I am never satisfied, I’m always thinking about the next goal and right now it’s no different. I have no plans to go and race a half marathon before the end of the year, but the plans are already being put in place for 2019, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Just remember when you see people’s achievements on here, you never know the full story. So don’t ever put yourself or your own achievements down. Just keep working hard, keep believing, and you too can have your own transformation.
Last week I announced on my stories that very soon I am going to be starting my own online coaching business, and I cannot wait to start helping people to believe that they can do this too 🏃🏻♀️❤️
What’s the next goal you want to achieve? 🌟

Mistakes have the power to turn you into something better than you were before 💫 .
X-ray results (finally) and confirmed tibia Stress Fracture 🙄
So there it is. My answer to the last six weeks. However it’s not all doom and gloom. Yes, the big race was missed, and my ultra in November is off the cards BUT because of the length of time taken to get a confirmed diagnosis, and the massive improvement in the last couple of weeks, a cautious approach to returning to running is not too far away 🤷🏼♀️
Right now, I’ll take that. Just to be able to start hitting the trails again with Fred will mean the world 😁
Lessons learned 😊
Nothing like 800’s in the rain to make you feel like a badass on a Monday morning👊💪😂🤪 Seriously though, this was an awesome workout, even if the rain did stop halfway through🤨 2 up, 5 x .5 fast with .25 jog recovery, c/d to 7. Who else loves running in the rain???🙋♀️ Unless it’s 40 degrees...😬😜 Have a fantastic day guys!😘
MOTIVATION MONDAY ✨
I use to hate Monday, I use to start the week off eating healthy, no chocolate, restrictive style ✌🏼 making me hella miserable, praying everyday was the weekend
Here’s my top tips for loving Monday’s ✨
1️⃣ Tip numero uno: stop treating Monday like a Monday
2️⃣ Tip numero dos: get a job you enjoy then no Monday feels like a Monday
3️⃣ Tip number 3: just eat the god dam cake 🎂🍰🐷

👣”When I do the best I can with what I have, then I have won my race” ~ Jay Foonberg ~ 👣
When I saw this quote at mile 7 on the @mcrhalf today, I genuinely felt overcome with emotion! It’s so true. Everyone’s race is unique and special to them and behind it, there will be so many journeys leading to this point. •
When I got out of hospital last weekend, I knew I wanted to run this race. Manchester half has such a special place in my heart- it was my first half marathon in 2016 and where I got a PB of 1.35 in 2017 and I really wanted a hatrick of half marathon medals from my home city!! I know this was slightly reckless given that I haven’t run more than 8 miles since London marathon 6 months ago, but in my head I believed I could do the distance, despite the challenges with my health. This time, I got to really enjoy the course and the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! The crowds seemed more amazing than the past 2 years and the marshals too! Life’s too short to regret the things you don’t take a chance on! Came in at just under 1.53 official time- that mojo might be returning after all! •
Massive thanks to @run_north_west and @mcrhalf for my very last minute place and don’t forget, if you want to be in with a chance to win £250 voucher for @run_north_west, there’s still time to enter on my post from Wednesday!
Well done to everyone ran who today and have a great week ahead! .
My post marathon medal pose might not have changed, but my time has!
