Hanging upside down with @yoga_with_nadya ~ inversions don’t need to be fancy ~ if you want to feel the benefits of gravity but don’t quite have the strength yet or are dealing with an injury ~ simply try putting your legs up the wall in Viparita Karani ~ forward folding into Uttanasana ~ or holding in downward facing dog ~ all the benefits no handstands needed.
Growth happens in the discomfort. Many of you know I recently finished a training to become a personal development coach. I am so grateful for the @her_soulstory creators @taynegriffin and @ncphotos and for the community. Yesterday I faced a huge fear of mine and failed miserably 😂 I am going to be leading the online Her Soul Circle group through the month of December. Yesterday we recorded the lesson and I completely bombed it. I fell into the darkness earlier in the week from a big case of imposter syndrome. I was 100% doubting my worth and ability to share the the gifts that I just went through training to learn. I got sucked in and let my limiting beliefs take over. Because of this I was not as prepared as I should have been (besides the fact that, it was my first time ever doing anything like this, so it’s not like it would have been perfect anyways) I was being so hard on myself and I was making it even worse by focusing on the bad. I was not allowing myself to move through my critical thoughts in order to use the tools to get past it. I was speaking unkindly to myself which was continuing to make it worse. After we finished I left feeling completely defeated and I continued to belittle myself. Later I got some words of encouragement from Nicole. Her faith in me and her positivity helped lift me up and I started to see the entire experience from a new perspective. No it was not great, yes it could have been better, but I did it, I stepped into fear, it’s done I can’t change it but I can learn from it. What I started to tell myself. First of all I AM HUMAN! Stop being so hard on yourself. You stepped out of comfort and into something new and scary and it’s normal to be scared when you are doing something for the first time. My biggest take away is that this was a huge learning experience and I can see where I can do so many things differently and better. And the next time might be better, and then the next time after that will be better. The more I do it the easier it will get. I know what I need to do to be more prepared for next time. I am excited to share what we were not able to get through in the video with the group in Dec.

Guten Abend! ✨
People hear the word “goals” and they freak the fuck out.
Either they associate the word goal with this perfect vision of this unknown future 5 or more years from now, or associate it with the superficial plastic “life goals” such as being super fit with a six pack, marrying a model looking celeb, driving an expensive car, owning a big as fuck house..... If you know me I say “fuck perfect” and what society is trying to shove down our throats.
Get over it, you are not perfect, I am not perfect. Nobody is fucking perfect.
What you see perfect in social media, magazines, and TV is far from the truth. Listen, there is nothing wrong in wanting to be fit, having a nice car, marrying an attractive human, having kids, making 6 digits, etc. Let us make sure YOU know what YOU want and not what society is telling you, YOU should desire or you doing this to show off or get approval.
The 3-hour mindful goal coaching workshop is designed to empower you, motivate you, and inspire you to realize what dreams are worth fighting for in your life. You will leave with tools to set goals for the next 12-months to tackle the shit out of them.
Be prepared to face your fears and to get out of your comfortable zone. Only there can YOU Unleash! Yourself.

SF I LOVE YOU.
Prayers and love to the fire victims as we all deal with the smoke looming over us.
Please wear your masks.
Keep our little ones and furry friends inside.
Use air filters.
Even little guy got to start Thanksgiving break early because the schools are shut.
We shall all get to be outdoors again.
In darkness there is always light, especially with the beautiful hearts of SF and the Bay.
I love you San Francisco.
Love my @adidasoriginals jumpsuit and @ugg boots for the beach. Why the hell not.
You don’t need fancy equipment or a ton of time to workout. While in Savannah for my cousin’s wedding last weekend, I stood between two cardio machines with a set of dumbbells and did 15 mins of 22MHC (on my phone) followed by some core work on a partially deflated exercise ball.
Less than 20 mins, and I was sweaty and my arms were shaking. If you’re short on time, don’t half-ass it. Make the most with what you’ve got. 💪🏼 #fitnessfriday#journeytohandstand

Hab euch lieb @sebi.nation

Our next featured teacher of the week is Rachel! Rachel teaches 9 AM and noon on Thursdays so catch her when you can!! Give Rachel a follow at @rachel.a.collins and read more about her below :) •
1) What do you love about yoga?
I love how yoga gets me out of my own head. Yoga has taught me to connect to my breath and to be present. Not to mention, it feels so good, physically! It’s challenging and there’s nothing like a yoga-high after a great class!
2) How would you describe your teaching style?
I would say gentle but fierce! Gentle and encouraging, so the students feel good about where they are in their practice while they push forward to new challenges. For every class I teach, I hope that my students feel the love I have for them and also feel love for themselves. And I LOVE music! I’ve always had a strong connection to music and I love bringing new playlists to my classes.
3) What makes Core special?
Core is a family! It’s a community of people that are coming together because we know and love the power of yoga and we want to share it with one another. I love knowing that I can walk in any day of the week and connect with someone, be seen and in turn, allow someone else to be seen, share a warm smile or a big hug!
4) Favorite pose or poses? Why?
My favorite pose is balancing half moon because it’s an amazing hip opener and a balancing pose. It always makes me feel graceful and playful at the same time.
5) What are your favorite things outside of yoga?
My favorite things are spending time with my husband, Isaac, and our puppy, Charlie. We love finding new places to indulge in yummy meals, going to concerts, and seeing new movies. I also love being involved in my church where I work in children’s ministries. ❤️❤️❤️ We love you Rachel!! ❤️❤️❤️
With Thanksgiving around the corner what is everyone thankful for?
What will you do to give thanks this holiday season?
Maybe it’s starting the coffee chain in the Starbucks line; paying for the person behind you. Maybe you volunteer for a local charity or maybe you can simply hold the door for someone.
Give someone a compliment or lend them your ears when they need to vent.
Giving back is more than just giving material things. It’s giving your time and presence too. In yoga we are taught to be present in the moment and let go of negative thought. My piece of advice for the holiday season:
Remember to be kind to people during the holidays and everyday.
We all have something to be thankful for. .

"You are being presented with a choice: evolve or remain.
If you choose to remain unchanged,
you will be presented with
the same challenges,
the same routine,
the same storms,
the same situations,
until you learn from them,
until you love yourself enough to say “no more”,
until you choose change.
If you choose to evolve,
you will connect with the strength within you,
you will explore what lies outside the comfort zone,
you will awaken to love,
you will become,
you will be.
You have everything you need.
Choose to evolve.

#flashbackfriday to #imaz 2017
Although this race proved to be an extremely mentally and physically challenging race, i really loved it. Amazing venue, the crowd support was unlike any other, and was surprised at how beautiful the course was.
I had big aspiration that day that didn’t pan out but still had an amazing day of #gratitude while celebrating a year of #postpartum training.
It took me a long time but i have finally come to the realization that what i did a year ago with a 1 yr old and 3 yr old while working full time, was an amazing accomplishment in itself. And a reminder to be kind to your mind and body.
Good luck to all the racers this weekend, my @bettydesigns#bettysquad19 teammates, and @mak4smiles@firedanc67
Go out there and have an Epic Adventure!!!

Nach einem harten Kampf erreicht Titelverteidigerin @shalaneflanagan den zweiten Platz hinter Mary Keitany.
one sec 🤫 just trying to excel in my career, drink enough water, grow my booty, text people back, go outside more, stay sane, and be freakin happy 🌊😅
I get it. Like what even is a work life balance? Just forget it. Focus on your work life rhythm instead. Everyday doesn’t have to be a perfect balance. Maybe this week is tunnel vision on career goals. But maybe on Saturday there will be much needed laughter with friends. And on Sunday? Maybe a nice long workout. Forget the balance. Find your rhythm.
Happy Wednesday my humans 💓 If you had any doubt; you absolutely have got this and you absolutely can do all of things.
• (someone shared the idea of work life rhythm on their story awhile back and I can’t remember who - so shouts to whoever you are 🙈)

I’ve been working with the team from @backcountry for just a little over a year. They were one of the first companies to come on board to support the launch of my first travel series: #TheStayCationSeries.
They are always asking to be in the loop of how they can support your ideas, initiatives and adventures. I am forever grateful to be involved with such an an awesome company and am proud to call myself an ambassador.
I’ve been getting a ton of messages about this jacket in my stories. It’s been my recent product test and second coat with @parajumpers_official. It keeps me the warmest of warm out on all my adventures, the quality is fab, they look great in the city and I’m confident these jackets will be lasting me a lifetime.
I highly recommend checking out @backcountry for both your adventure and lifestyle needs!
📸 @wendy.shep snapping one of my favourite photos of myself on our adventure to #Tofino earlier this month. I am also grateful to have such talented women as my friends who constantly inspire me and push me to be better. She is one of them. Please check out her work 🙊😍💛

Did I move my body out of love? Yep.
