Kurodai or black sea bream is a fish that you will see on our Toyosu list from time to time. Our chefs really like to work with this fish so we wanted to share a few fun facts about the fish so that you can learn to love it, too!
1. It’s a firm, white fish - similar in taste and texture to bass.
2. They feed on seaweeds and small invertebrates, especially crustaceans which lends itself to their delicate flavor
3. The species is protogynous - meaning the fish may change sexes at some point in its life - usually cued by either social structure or the achievement of a certain age or size. #themoreyouknow#pc@koyonghun

It is extremely well-established now that regular aerobic exercise is as effective as antidepressant medication at treating mild to moderate depression.
Yet incredibly few GPs and PCPs would recommend exercise as a first-line treatment to their patients. Why?
The answer to that is complicated but there is also some simplicity to it as well. Our healthcare system incentivizes treatments that generate profits, namely medication and surgery. Going for a jog, a bike ride, or a hike doesn't make anybody any money.
I am not demonizing antidepressants here. I am simply trying to spread information. 📊📒📈 Also to be clear, I am not suggesting that anybody ditch their meds and start jogging every morning instead.
Did you know that flamingo chicks are born grey? They develop their beautiful pink color from the astaxanthin in the shells of the shrimp and crab they eat. It’s a common myth that farmed salmon is “dyed”, when in fact salmon are naturally grey as well and also get their pleasing pink color from the food they eat - wild salmon eat crabs and shrimp, and farmed salmon have astaxanthin added to their feed. Astaxanthin is a powerful beneficial antioxidant that has been linked to healthier skin, endurance, heart health, fight joint pain, fertility, and may even have a future in cancer treatment! If you don’t want to get your astaxanthin the delicious natural way from eating trout or salmon, you can buy capsules of it at Whole Foods!

Thai culture and Buddhism are very intertwined. There are daily reminders everywhere from temples, to spirit houses, to yellow and orange robed monks 💫🇹🇭
Alms giving is one of the most common practices among Thai Buddhists. It's a way to support the monks, who study and practice the Buddha's teachings, by offering them food and medicine. The monks give spiritual support, blessings, and teachings in return✨
Theravada Buddhism is practiced by more than 95% of the population. Theravada emphasizes direct insight gained through critical analysis and experience rather than blind faith. It focuses on attaining self-liberation through one's own efforts. Meditation and concentration are vital elements of the way to enlightenment 🙏🏼 #buddhism#thaibuddhism .

A celebrity sues a video game publisher, alleging that the publisher used an avatar with his likeness in a way that was not authorized. Another person sues an author, alleging that a character in the author's novel was based on her name and likeness and was used without her permission.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These lawsuits are about an individual's right of publicity, which gives a person the exclusive right to license their identity for commercial promotion. A person doesn't have to be famous or even alive (depending on the applicable state's law) for a right of publicity claim to be asserted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Business owners should be careful to avoid violating an individuals right of publicity. This means that you should obtain permission to use a person's image, likeness, or other identifiable attribute for your own commercial purposes, including use on products, in advertising, and in other content.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Leah wants you to know that rabbits are the third most abandoned companion animals after dogs and cats. While many people this time of year consider rabbits a great gift for the upcoming holiday, they see them as “starter pets” that are short-lived and low-maintenance. Folks don’t realize a rabbit can live up to 10 years, need exercise, and require a lot of patience and care. Not to mention, impulsive purchases dominate over rescuing one from a shelter. This upcoming holiday sparks bunny sales which in turn create a much higher rise in rabbit abandonment, all year long. Before the impulse strikes, please educate yourself on a rabbit’s needs for lifelong care. You can always sponsor a rabbit at Woodstock Sanctuary, right Leah?❤️ #themoreyouknow
