"Acredito que as coisas acontecem por um motivo, Rafa. Acredito que nem sempre nós sabemos que motivos são esses. Mas acho que as estrelas sabem."
As estrelas Sabem
Autora: Fernanda Campos
Hey everyone! So I started Sadie today and I’m really enjoying it. I’m almost 100 pages through and it’s super fast paced. I found out that the podcast portion of the book is full cast narrated and available on Spotify so I’ve been listening while reading along and it’s been really good so far! I’m excited to read some more later today!

Mine is Teal/Turquoise and Orange! It's just so fun, bright, and festive and I think they complement each other so well?? Even though they aren't traditional colors that are paired together.
You're probably wondering why I am rambling about color combos and it's because GRADUATION is on my mind! (And color combinations always go hand in hand with graduations. 😉) If you have seen my stories recently, you'll know that my big sister (the Librarian!) is graduating college this May and we are going all the way to the East Coast to see the ceremony and celebrate. And I'm literally so excited that I could burst because not only is the graduation going to be fabulous (it is!) but we are also taking the time to stay and see friends, family, and relations that we haven't seen in ages.
This means: a) I get to see one of my BEST friends that I have never met in real life (!!!), b) I get to see the ocean and hang out at the beach for the first time since I was 4 (🎉!!) and c) I get to spend a lot of quality time with people I love, celebrating my sister's huge accomplishment!
So basically, it's going to be a month-long vacation and celebration and I cannot wait for May to arrive! 🎉🎓
So life has been crazy busy and because of it we haven't been able to post regularly but after a long break we are back with a bookish picture and an update about what Apoorv and me have been up to.
Me AKA Neelam have been busy in WEDDINGS and a long break from work life and Apoorv has been sick and busy making travel Vlogs.
So, just to catch up, what are you guys upto? What are you currently reading? And how was your Holi?
Good morning, book friends!
I tried out my first recipe from Scone with the Wind yesterday (the literary baking book).
I made Jane Éclairs! Do they look appetizing? Hahahahaha no way, of course not! But did I follow the recipe correctly?? Also no. I forgot to add a sweetener as a substitute for the rum. But did they taste good??? Surprisingly, yes! And now that I know where I messed up, I’ll do better next time and they’ll taste even more amazing. (Also, they aren’t burnt, that’s just the photo filter; I included a non-filtered pic, too.)
I think in this recipe, the vanilla cream is Jane Eyre, the coffee powder (which is v tasty) is Mr. Rochester, and the rum is Bertha Mason.
Speaking of, are there any other Jane Eyre fans who love Mr. Rochester but are also like, “wow you’re a dick about your first wife and this should make me hate you”? Because I feel that way all the time. What is wrong with me?!?!!??
Guten Morgen 💕
Was macht ihr heute so schönes? 😍
Idk why I'm taking so long with this book review. I'm nervous I guess because it's my very first 5-star read this year. I am impressed with the mysteries, the secrets and plot twists.
But of course, above all, the setting of this book, the history and the cultural elements in it are the best bits in the entire book. I'm so grateful for the author to write this book about Malaysia and include so much of local beliefs and Malay words in it and take her time to explain everything for international readers. I'm so glad this book is out for every reader to read.
Oh, I forgot to mention Singapore was mentioned in this book too! 😚
Btw, you think you know what to expect from this book, but then, you don't. That's how I felt the entire time! 😂
I want to thank @quercusbooks and @definitelybooks for sending this book to me in exchange for an honest review. This book is now available at all good bookstores, go check it out! I highly recommend it. 💞
p/s: A full-length review will be up on my blog next week! 😊

How’s your day been going book babes?! I hope it’s been going well. I woke up to so many exciting things today (Gigi gorgeous reposting my story & now I’m getting to meet her, winning a giveaway...)! It’s good karma after that awful exam yesterday. I only hope you are feeling some good vibes as well. ✨
It’s super rainy here today, but the weather’s a lot warmer than usual and so I’m starting to get those Spring vibes. Once I’m home from class I’m going to cozy up with my CR, then head to hot yoga later!
I love this little book so much— it’s full of poetry that Belle loves, as well as quotes from the movie. It’s not a book that’ll take you more than 15 min to read through, but it’s SO CUTE 😱. Also the blanket pictured is my cats *favorite* 😂. ✨
QOTD: What’s your favorite thing to do on rainy days? Do you get into the mood to read, too?
Hello lovely readers ❤️ today I stayed home because I truly needed a bit of rest. I was also expecting a package from @amazon and I was so disappointed with it, my items came ruined and now I need to return them, which is so frustrating! Apart from that, today’s pic represents my biggest desire: being at the beach, with a good book to keep me company — and possibly not just that (cough cough my boyfriend cough cough). I’m currently reading Throne of Glass, even though I’m a bit slower than usual because of university and life in general. I’m not that much deep into the book yet, but so far what I can say is that I’m not liking Caelena too much — just because she’s just one of the infinite cliche female characters who can use a sword like no one, who are incredibly powerful and strong, the best warriors you could ever find blablabla. Lately I’ve been preferring reading about normal women who find their inner strength and power later in the story, rather than these incredible war machines that are also unbelievably beautiful of course. And also, from the first pages it’s pretty clear she and Chaol will end up together, which again is so cliche and predictable. I’m still enjoying the story though and I’m very hopeful - given that it’s a very long series - that it will get much better!
q o t d ~ do you have a favorite place in the world? If yes, what is it?
a o t d ~ would I be too cheesy if I said my fave place ever is between my boyfriend’s arms? 🙈 yes, definitely. Cheesiness apart, my favorite place in the world is the beach. There’s something about the sand, the sea breeze, the water and the sun that makes me incredibly happy. Actually, it’s the place where I’m the most happy I can be 🌊☀️

Post-test me is cranky 😂😂 But hey, at least it’s over 🤷🏻♀️. That means tons of reading and relaxation this weekend! I can’t wait. ✨
I still haven’t read this book, but it’s mostly because I saw the movie and know the plot. I want to wait to forget it a bit more before I jump into the book. I did really like the movie tho 😝
QOTD: Read the book first or watch the movie first? I obviously like to read the book first!
Keep checking out the giveaway ❤️
