This is my third time visiting Korea and this time I had only one place in mind. The rest of the itinerary I followed what my mom and sister wanted and I revisited places I’ve been to before. The place I really wanted to visit was: Garden of Morning Calm I’ve been wanting to visit this garden during winter season since 2013 and I’m so glad I finally did! During winter season the garden holds lighting festival annually and my Lord... it was very dreamy. I really recommend visiting it. Especially if you’re one who’s always on the hunt for ‘instagrammable’ spots then this is your go-to. But I personally had fun just walking around alone and watching the lights twinkle. It was rather calming.
Also, this garden was the last stop of our day trip with @trazy_korea. The trip included Nami Island - Petite France - Garden of Morning Calm. We first asked an Indonesian tour organizer and they quoted us a little over $300 which I think is ridonculous. Trazy costs $200ish for the 3 of us, we saved more than $100!! It includes ticket to all destinations, pick and drop off by bus and english speaking guide. We had good experience with Trazy, we def recommended it.
Light Festival in Winter at The Garden of Morning Calm 🎆🎇✨
an arboretum located at the east of Seoul, in the Gapyeong district of South Korea. On 300,000 m², it houses 5,000 species of plants, some rare or endangered and attracts 600,000 tourists per year. The name of this garden reminds that Korea is often nicknamed the "country of the morning calm".
Good morning Raleigh! Good morning world! Such a sweet and peaceful quiet time this am. As I sat thinking about how many answers I’ve skimmed over so many times because I had a preset norm based on culture, tradition of religion or media overload... Preset conclusions without investigation are ok I guess, if I’m uninterested and not going to take time to seek history, truth or treasures. Honestly there aren’t enough hours in a day to hunt down everything that intrigues us, haunts us, infuriated us... Chapter 20 THE LONGING FULFILLED was worth the investigation... asking myself the same questions over and over instilled that pursuit needed to seek and find answers. Those “Aha moments” propelled me to stay the course! What about you? What are you passionate about? What will propel you to stay the course? Cheering you on this morning! Shut out the distractions. Be amazed. 💥
