Thanks, Netflix. I got to see Springsteen on Broadway last night.
I have been lucky enough to have seen Bruce in concert many times. His shows are always great. Always a good show with Bruce giving us his all.
But this Broadway show...what a raw, intimate, emotional and personal evening with an engaging storyteller. He laid his life open and shared so much. What a beautiful and courageous performance. If you get a chance, check it out.
Congratulations to @springsteen and crew for an amazing run on #broadway! This is one of the guitars me and my dear family friend Kevin Buell got rolling for the show. In this application Kevin directed me to make a set of tall saddles. Kevin has such a vast knowledge of sound and experience doing over 1000 shows with Bruce and knows exactly what the guitar needs. After the briefing from Kevin I used hard petrified #wollymammoth bone for the saddles (seen in the top right hand corner of the collage) for a higher string angle action. This creates a bigger/fuller sound during strumming; the mammoth bone is so hard it can make the guitar speak acoustically. Making saddles is an artform, especially when they're taller like this because they could tip over from the string angle. I milled each saddle blank in my milling machine to get them seeded tight in the saddle slot making contact with the pickup elements and to avoid tipping over. It's exciting to be apart of this journey in some way. Next time I got to get @dannybones64 to come to the shop and get some pics of the surgery in progress. #newjersey
