This is my image that won the Ken Dunphy Landscape Award at the Moncton Focus Camera Club this week. I captured this a few years ago, in Waterton Lakes National Park, AB. We almost skipped Waterton Lakes, in favour of more time in some of the more popular National Parks in the Rockies, but I’m sure glad we went there as it ended up being my favourite part of the whole trip out west, and resulted in some of my best ever images.
Who else loves film? I adore seeing all the creative looks and effects people have created since it has become more popular in the last few years, but I have yet to try it myself. I'm determined to finally try it & work on it over the next few weeks.
Comment any advice you have for a beginner with film please!

“Lucky moments along the Icefields Parkway in Alberta. We initially pulled over to catch the last bit of light hitting these mountains in the background. Then right as we were packing up, this black bear ran perfectly into frame.”
