4 morning miles + 60 minutes of core & hiit👊
Thanks to ALL of you for your messages, comments and kind words yesterday💜 I admit I was incredibly let down and frustrated to be back at square 1 after my Dr appt, however I always want to do what's best for my body and if that means I need to keep searching for answers, so be it.
I'm back at it this morning, grateful to be logging miles and getting in a solid workout!
Have an AWESOME weekend guys - and keep at it!!
The first year I registered for the @lululemonyvr Seawheeze it was winter in Toronto and I thought I might be living in BC by race day (I was), the second year my dad came and ran with me, the third year I helped pace a friend through her first half, last year I ran it as part of a marathon training workout. This weekend will be my 5th Seawheeze so I thought I’d throw it back to the previous 4 years. Here’s to more awkward jumping photos with photogenic friends during my 5th year.
I hit the track today!💙🙌 -- the last time I hit the track was the day I decided to throw in the towel and drop all my Fall marathon goals.(July 16)💔
Funny thing is, I did 4x400's today and ALL of them were significantly slower pace than my 800's were just a few months ago, and I didn't even care! Just felt grateful to be out there running and doing what I LOVE!! (Also, my 60min TCX class at 5am may have slowed these legs down a bit, so I'm going with that excuse😉)
Have a beautiful Wednesday guys - and find joy in where you are TODAY. We all have dreams and sometimes setbacks, but we do what we can every.single.day and THAT is what matters!👊 #keepchasing
Hit the track this morning for my first WO post-marathon, and it felt GREAT! Headed to BC tomorrow for the @lululemonyvr Seawheeze Half-Marathon this weekend, which I’ll be running as a workout leading up to @chimarathon in 2.5 weeks. Ready for the ocean air and west coast running buddies!
I did NOT wanna get outta bed this morning -- but I DID!!🙌 #winning
Easy miles this morning and loved that sunrise😍 I'm really struggling to find motivation these days but trying to hang in there a little longer!!
Appt with liver specialist is in 2 days and I'm hoping for ALL the answers I need to plan the next 6 months of my life!!😀🙏🙌 FINALLY!!! Happy Tuesday runners!
Capped off week 1 of training with 12.3 muggy miles!
Average pace 8:00 (with three quicker miles tacked onto the end: 7:51, 7:30, 7:23)
46.9 miles for the week.
And my legs are already tired! 🙃
Happy Sunday!! @runsra_cim
5 gorgeous sunrise miles peeps! I'm feelin' pretty fly about this run and enjoyed soaking up some pick ups near the end. I love a good challenge and I'm in a place where I need to set some goals to keep me sane for a while... more details to come soon! 🤩
Is it the freakin' weekend yet?! Who's ready to play?!

This medal does not represent a PR, a BQ or a well run race. But it does represent determination, perseverance and a mental toughness I didn't know I had.
The most frustrating thing about my race Saturday is that there isn't anything that stands out as to why it was so tough. The weather was great, my fueling was good and my body was healthy.
I started off with following my race plan and by mile 5 I knew it wasn't going to happen. The miles felt way too hard for that early in the race. So I slowed down and hoped I could get a PR at least. But nope. At mile 18 my body felt beat. At that point I was ready to quit. What was the point if I wasn't even going to PR? But I reminded myself that I trained for 26.2 miles and no matter what the time was, I would feel proud afterwards knowing I ran a marathon. So I kept chugging along as my miles got slower and slower. But I never walked bc I knew if that happened it would be so hard to get running again.
So as disappointing as my time was, there were several good things. First off, this was an AMAZING race. The volunteers, the atmosphere, the scenery...it was all so good that this is a race I would do again. Another plus was I got to meet an ig runner friend in real life! But the biggest plus is that I never gave up; I still ran a freaking marathon.
I surprisingly feel pretty good today. Sore, but not as sore as I thought I'd be considering how dead I felt during and after the race. Which goes to show I have gotten a lot stronger during this training cycle. I am also wearing my new @teamtiux compression socks which are seriously helping my feet recover🙌
If you've made it this far, Thanks for reading haha. Every single comment and DM I got after my race meant so much to me and has helped me a lot, mentally. So thanks to everyone who reached out. For now, I have at least a week of rest so my body can heal. But mentally, I'm ready to run again. 👊🏃♀️
4 easy sunrise miles and 1 hr of TCX 💪👊
Still over a week away until my appt with the liver specialist to discuss how to move forward with the liver growth and side pain... But I'm still over here crankin' out lower and slower miles - and soaking up lots more strength training and gym time!
Ooh!! And I got to wear my new @teamtiux crew socks this morning!!🤩
Happy Monday runners!!🙌

W1D1 of training 🏃🏻♀️ Ready or not!! 12 weeks or @runsra_cim marathon training is kicking off with an easy 6.3 miles
I can’t believe August is almost over...as is my base building.
Rumor has it training is right around the corner, we’re officially 100 days out from CIM and here I am: anxiously awaiting all such things.
I can’t say I feel completely ready to jump into training. I have to work pretty hard to keep my body happy. I keep thinking the old me who qualified for Boston with such ease will show up one of these days, but the truth is...she hasn’t. ———
But every day I’m able to lace up my shoes and enjoy one more date with the pavement is a good day.
So I’ll take the good days with the tough, the pain free running with the aches and pain...
And continue to find joy in this running journey. 💕
First long sleeve run of the season! 🙌🏻
Cooler weather has arrived and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Five easy, breezy miles. ——
Training starts Monday. I’ve taken the last couple weeks really easy. I hit this summer fairly hard with my build up. I was feeling a little burned out with early mornings and mileage, so! I cut it way back. I needed to catch my breath.
Time barrels on whether we’re ready for it or not...so!! Let’s do this! 💕
