This is by far one of my favorite pictures of Chloe and I! 💕 #mommydaughter I can’t believe this was taken a year ago 😩, and that in two months we will have a 2 year old! 😭😭 How is that even possible?! It’s so amazing and exciting to watch her learn and grow everyday. She’s into everything, wants to do what we’re doing, talking up a storm, and has shown interest in the potty for months and months. She either wants to wipe herself or me 🙈, loves to flush the toilet, and sit on the toilet. Today she told her teacher at school she needed to go poop, poop, and Chloe 💩on the toilet for the first time! All evening she kept clapping and saying, “Poop, poop!” Potty training here we come. Pray for us!

Choice ✨ Remember that you always have a choice and you can choose to be happy and at peace. Nothing feels more powerful and leads to greater happiness than choosing to do something for you. In regards to teaching and it being the start of a new school year, many of us can get sucked into letting go of ourselves, our routines, things that make us happy and at peace as we’re too busy thinking about our new cherubs that will be walking through the door. We often choose them instead of us. There’s nothing wrong in choosing us. You can still choose yourself and be a good teacher ✨ #balancingteachingandlife#innerpeace#happiness#choosetobehappy#teachersofinstagram
Ever have a chunk of time in class where you really need students to focus and get some independent work done? You need Starbucks Time! We pretend we’re college students at Starbucks to get some work done. We don’t know anyone there, so we’re just listening to music and getting our work done. I introduced it last week and it has quickly become a class favorite! I originally got this idea from @toocoolformiddleschool a while back! Do you let your kids listen to music?
