Had fun down at @cliffsofid over Thanksgiving break last week. I always love climbing at that gym! Getting super duper excited for some Red Rock bouldering next week - making a to-do list and setting some goals. But for now, the goal for my last few gym sessions is to not get injured and keep the skin in shape (and have fun on all the sweet problems up at @dogpatchboulders right now). Shoutout to @skratchlabs and @evolv_worldwide - I keep falling more in love with your products every day!
Jumping into the week like... Battle of the Bay at @dogpatchboulders is this weekend, and I'm definitely not ready. But I'm excited to compete again for the first time in a while and hang out with some friends! No matter what, it should be a super fun time. Shoutout to @skratchlabs and @evolv_worldwide for the love this year!
Scroll on if you don't wanna hear me spray in a #PringleParagraph!
Finally sent the plastic proj at @dogpatchboulders last night! Super stoked because it's my first V10 ever, which has been a goal of mine for the past 5 years. I know grades are arbitrary, and relying on them as a definition of how strong or how good of a climber you are doesn't always hold up (and that plastic =/= real rock, blah blah blah) - but this feels like a big deal to me, personally. The past two months of consistent climbing have been really awesome for me, and I've been feeling the best I've felt possibly ever. I can tell there's a huge difference in my technical abilities (even though I'm physically not the strongest I've ever been). So sending a hard climb, even inside, feels a bit validating. And it's good motivation to keep working hard inside and hopefully translate that to some trips and sends outside. Big thanks as always to @skratchlabs who have supported me endlessly since 2013 (seriously, better hydration and nutrition have been a huge part of my recent gainz/improvement) and to @evolv_worldwide for their amazing shoes that have really transformed my climbing. Excited to keep trying hard!
