I started my fitness journey for a lifestyle not a summer body.
I constantly felt tired, fatigued, and weak. Growing up my name was stick, twig, and bean pole.
We talk a lot today in our society about body shaming. It’s all don’t body shame fat people and love your curves. But body shaming definitely happens to thin people as well. Us “thin” people don’t always get to decide to be skinny. I think being called a twig is just as bad as being called fat. Being a twig isn’t always healthy and neither is being fat.
I chose my journey to become healthier and to have a lifestyle I can maintain, not too do yo yo dieting and hate going to the gym.
I know so many of you get discouraged about going to the gym and feel bad because maybe you only went 1 day this week. But, let me tell you I have been there and I still have weeks like that. It takes work, dedication, and time. If you only make it to the gym one day this week, you go girl! Next week try and make it 2 days.
You have to find your passion. Do what you love. I get so bored doing cardio so I go to the park and longboard or bike or whatever. It’s the same with lifting weights, if one exercise makes you not wanna go to the gym then don’t do it. Do what you love, don’t do something just cause everyone else is.

Yeah 13 pound difference shocked me too! I can’t believe I gained 13 pounds of muscle!
It’s absolutely amazing what our bodies are capable of.
