@metric - Live in Glasgow, Scotland
Watched them for the 2nd time this time. The first was in 2013 back in Manila, Philippines. Never fade, never change and I will never get tired of them. Still, one of the best bands as of today - METRIC
Our friend @marvel83 is nearly finished with his debut album “Genesis”. He was kind enough to let us feature on “Close To You”. Coming early 2019!

Announcement! I am playing a very special show on Fri 12/7 - the SCREW CANCER benefit show at @satellitehtx! All proceeds will be donated to @sedricacevedo’s mom’s fight to win her battle against stage 4 stomach & ovarian cancer! Sedric has worked hard to help support his family - he’s an incredible photographer in Houston who has contributed to many of our visual portfolios: in fact, my album art photo was shot by him & I can’t wait to unveil it! Tickets are $15 & will go towards the necessary medical expenses to help Ms. Acevedo win her fight! I’m playing w/ @callmelyta, Atwood, @indigoyounghtx & @aliimichele - join us for a great cause! ❤️💪 Event link in bio!

“Champagne Eyes” by AlunaGeorge
For a while it seemed as though AlunaGeorge were destined to exist just outside the mainstream whilst creating some pretty unique pop bangers. However they also never really created a project that I feel like has been wholly cohesive, interesting and original. They’ve been on the edge of greatness and success for quite some time and I feel like here we got a breaking point and not in the cool and revolutionary way. Aluna’s ferocity is here and it delivers exactly what you’d expect on a track titled “reckless”. The production by George at its best, is nice, but nothing like he’s done before. “Famous” is a dead horse, a mess of over production and sterility- it’s not fun. There seems to be a lot of Ariana Grande influence here and its kinda one-note and Aluna’s not playing with her voice and accent like she’s done in the past. We also got a Bryson Tiller feature here and it’s not the worst Bryson Tiller feature I’ve heard but it’s still just a boring-ass track about one-night stands, I’m convinced nothing interesting has ever happened in that mans life. I’m hesitant to write the duo off when they’ve given us so many cool songs and this is just an EP but there does seem to be a drop in quality that has occurred.
What an Incredible time teaching at the @nmc_canada / National Music Centre this week!! Got to meet legendary producer Malcolm Cecil who produced Stevie Wonder’s most well known songs / albums using TONTO (the world’s largest synthesizer behind us)! It was definitely inspiring to hear him producing @atribecalledred while we were here for #aewest with @cmincubator. Thanks Malcolm for taking the time to show me & @glennparryphoto how TONTO works!!
