I feel very much alive. 🎉
I was born on a Wednesday so I'm usually very very excited on this day since I pamper and groom myself extra on this day. I have been doing that for quite a while now. I celebrate my born day every other week in my own way.
Speaking of birthdays, I turned 12000 days last week. 😀 How cool is that??? I bought myself a gift that day.
Ok back to Wednesday......I have this habit or ritual to pamper myself on this day. I get my message, go to the salon to get my nails done, I go to the barber, go out to have lunch by myself, read a book and spent time watering and taking care of my plants.
Wednesday is "ME" day. I usually spend time checking my emails in the afternoon or I have one or two meeting if they really can't wait but in general, I don't do work stuff 🙈. I guess most people do this during the weekend, Saturday, Sunday or some even on Monday. That's all good. I just like doing things differently
Sooooo .....While sipping on my coffee I'm thinking about the possibilities and great things I will be doing today.
What about you? Which day is your born day and do you have a "YOU" day"? Tell me all about it 😊
Want to be LIT?.....Start with keeping your inner Fire LIT and you will definitely and automatically be LIT every day like YFN Lucci and PnB Rock.
Keeping the fire of desire burning brightly, takes a drive that you must constantly exert. Desire and knowing why we want something is the drive that fuels our actions.
So without dreams and desires, we can hardly achieve anything. At the first sign of trouble and difficulties, we would give up. But because of our strong desire, even if we face great odds, we will dig deep into ourselves to find the energy, strength, and power to overcome the challenges.
Knowing our motivation is especially important if we want to change a deeply ingrained habit. Without that clarity of purpose, it is easy to slip back to our own ways. But with clarity of purpose, we can achieve anything!
Don't let your dreams light burn out!
Keep it burning 🔥BE LIT, every day!
This Sunday reminds me of the day this picture was taken. .
I can remember waking up in a beautiful, small and very peaceful apartment in Miami Florida overwhelmed by a feeling of joy, gratitude and excitement.
Before I left the apartment I meditated, did my morning affirmations, drank a cup of hot lemon water, had breakfast and I kept saying to myself" I will enjoy this day and stay in the moment.
And guess what.......that was exactly what I did.
As we (I, myself and a friend 😊) drove around in the streets of Miami later on I can remember that I was singing and dancing in the car. I felt as if I was one with the air, the trees and my surroundings. We laughed, had meaningful conversations and I was really enjoying the miracle of creation, human life and the wonder of this universe.
Goshhhh I felt blessed! Very blessed and happy. This is exactly how I feel now, while I'm writing this post.
I know that there will be sad days and bad times but I have this incredible way of switching my thoughts to the present moment and I'm grateful for that.
Most of us always seem to be searching for a special moment. Some better moment in the future. But that moment never comes because when that moment comes we want more.
Happines starts when we just stop and appreciate everything in this moment, even the "Little things" we must take for granted.
When we can truly grasp this powerful present moment there are no problems and when we can appreciate the journey so much that a destination is not needed, the Journey becomes the new Destination.
My questions to you: Are you focused on a destination or are you enjoying the present moment?
Happy Sunday wonderful people ❤
Hi beautiful people, First off...Happy 2018! I know it's very late to still say that but it feels right since this is my first post for the new year.
Towards the end of 2017 I had been feeling pretty run down and exhausted, so I decided to withdraw from activity for a period of time. To be exact for 5 weeks 🙈. I spent time in a house out of town, took long walks, read books, stepped away from social media, turned of all my devices, meditated twice a day, continuously practiced mindfulness and most of all enjoyed the simple things in life.
I realized how important it is to slow down. To share a few reasons why its important:
1. Its good for you. Getting enough rest and enough hours to sleep can lead to weight loss. I lost 6 pounds.
2. A well rested mind leads to clearer thinking and better work
3. It makes you more likable. Everybody wants to be around people with a great and positive attitude and energy. When your exhausted chances are that you are often cranky and you complain a lot.
4. It helps you focus on what really matters.
For me slowing down is about being present. Its about making the person in front of me feel that he/she is important. Its about concentrating on the tasks I'm doing in the moment, because when I'm distracted everything I do suffers.
Slowing down and taking some time of is crucial for your growth.
