With a dew point in the 70s, today was far from perfect BUT I achieved my goal of running conservatively and finishing strong, running my last mile 20 seconds faster than my first! . . . Despite a disorganized start 🙃 I had lots of fun running the @armytenmiler and could not have been happier to unexpectedly see the best cheerleaders @tquinn4 and @thegoobboytroy out there on the course! . . . 🏃🏻‍♀️BILAN DE LA SEMAINE🏃🏻‍♀️. Not much to show for last week (though overall I definitely feel like my hard work is starting to pay off as I squeezed myself into a pretty unforgiving white dress for @dinerenblancdc on Saturday!). No @cyclebarnoma classes as I tried to listen to my body and rest my leg. Wednesday I joined the ladies of @summittosoul’s #hillrunners for a short 4.1km #run to @eastsideyogadc. I was definitely in pain for most of the session. Friday I gave it another try with a 4.6km run from my place to @nationals stadium where we did a walk-through before #DeBDC18. I felt good enough to attempt the 12 miles / 20 kilometers #longrun I had skipped the weekend before. It was a slow one but I felt pretty good throughout. After clocking in weeks at 45+ kilometers it’s hard not to feel bummed though to barely manage 45 over the last two weeks ... a part of me just wants to panic with less than 2 months to go before @marinecorpsmarathon but another is trying to stay positive and remind myself that being one week behind your #marathontraining plan is not the end of the world and better than risking an actual injury. Definitely hoping for a better week now though!
