5km @ 5’01 pace. Attempted to run easy this afternoon but just felt so good! First km was 5’19, second was 5’18, and then I just went for it feeling good! 4’57, 4’53 and 4’37 for the final three kilometres! Runners high for this girl. Ps check out that sweat!!! 83% humidity #summerrunning 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
The “runners high feels” vs the “what torture did I just put my body through” feels🤷🏼♀️
Total #repost but I cannot wait for ideal running weather 🥰 not that Missouri isn’t it, but spring is coming and it’s a perfect time to go on walks or jogs!!
Who’s going to make the move to run more in 2019?? You get used to the pain & torture 😉 Maybe not.
Is it summer yet? 🌞
I haven't exercised besides PT in 10 days 😱 since I wanted to give my hip some rest, but then on Wednesday during PT I stretched my calves a little too much and it's been sore ever since. 😑 On Friday I could barely walk! It's starting to get better but it's not fully healed. Hopefully it'll be better by Tuesday so I can try running again.
My virtual trainer from the nyc half virtual plan told me I can replace some of my runs with cross training and I should still be okay. Fingers crossed. I have no time goals anyway for the half.
I've been keeping busy with studying and trying out recipes from the Run Fast Cook Fast Eat Slow cookbook. But I'm eager to try running again!
Sunday Run Day !! 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ That’s the face of - I nearly skipped today and it was hot and not easy! Glad I went now. Note to self don’t skip a Sunday! Have to keep posting here to hold myself accountable!
SUNDAY RUNDAY Well normally I’m my worst critic and kicking myself in guts about a shit run but not today. Today I went out on my own and remembered to love running.
Today was a rare day where I listened to my body. An easy 12 clicks @ 6 min pace which was consistent all the way through. That was enough so I decided to walk the last 3kms back to the car.
This week was about consistency with double training days - full week or F45, regular runs and good nutrition. The body is adjusting to this so I wasn’t going to push where I didn’t want to go.
This week I’ve considered that, although strength training is necessary, running and trying to chase them gains with F45 can feel a bit at odds with each other. But I love them both, so it’s about balance and rebuilding into the next training block.
I got to see my running crush @runningrodgers twice in action and the gorgeous @mama_to_marathon and @katwatt83 cruising along too. Shout out to the Lynda @inner_ego for hooking me up, as always your cleanses never fail in resetting my nutrition and have me feeling great again.
Today is a good day - positive vibes only 🤘🤘🤘

Today’s workout details, but not today’s photo! #tbt to another finish line crossed with my dad this past summer. The weather here in NJ is looking pretty grim and nasty the next few days, so while dreaming of sun I dug up some summer run pics. ☀️ .
Today’s double header:
MORNING: 4 mile tempo. Ran at goal half marathon pace. A hard effort but overjoyed to have actually been able to pull it off with some gas left in the tank. Do tempo runs make anyone else super anxious?? 🙋🏻♀️ Esp early on in the training cycle when you might still be trying to figure out if you’ve chosen the right goal race pace.
EVENING: 1 hour group strength class at the gym. The class is more of a total body workout focusing on weighted squats/lunges, core work and lots of arms/shoulders/back. My other strength workouts during the week are where I usually focus more on specific muscle groups. 🏋🏻♀️
#nychalf training well underway! .
Ich muss euch was gestehen: ich hab mich verliebt 🥰
Ins Laufband!

*Long hair don’t care* making time to get it in with a recovery ride and some core work after an awesome run last night.... already looking forward to the next workout💪🏼 😜
Best part of Monday is realizing it’s Tuesday 💃🏼🤳 got a solid cycle session in this morning plus a circuit that was SO DAMN good combining run speed + agility + strength... I put demos in my story but it goes like this 👉🏼 400 m sprint (7:41-6:58 pace for me* negative repeats) 16 plyo box jumps , 30 mt climbers, 15 burpee jumps (sans push up).... repeat 8 times 🔥 it’ll be 2 miles before you know it
