It is possible to grow through difficult times and moments 💪Every time something collides with you, turn within and see the point of collision clearly. Instead of focusing on the element that apparently *gives* you a hard time, look right at the one who seems to *have* the hard time. Upon deeper investigation you will find that this “sufferer” is not really on the receiving end - it actually creates what we experience as unbearable and difficult. This form of creation takes place moment after moment. Looking at this creative process frequently leads to understanding. Those who look 👁 conscientiously will find that they comprehend - from direct experience - how suffering is created and how it could be abandoned.
When we talk about addiction we generally think about drugs, alcohol, work, or even food. It is a mental and physical issue, and is essentially the inability to stop doing something even though we know it is harming us and the people around us.
I personally believe that this can be said of our thoughts. It has been said that we can have up to 60,000-80,000 thoughts in a day, and on average 80% of those are negative. Sometimes we catch these negative thoughts, but a lot of the times we don’t and it is to our detriment. We know we do it, but we don’t put in the time to fix it because we believe that is who we are. But just like the other addictions, it is a habit and we can change a habit if we want to.
Sometimes we replace addiction with another habit, which may not be as damaging, such as chewing gun or eating when trying to give up smoking. But what if we looked at these addictions from a different perspective. Seeing it as the replacement habit for our negative thinking or overthinking. Maybe that is the real issue, and we use these other avenues as an escape and avoid what we are doing every single minute of every day. That’s not to say we can stop negative thinking or our thoughts, but to be more aware and not let it affect us mentally and physically.
As you practice centering yourself in your awareness, you can witness yourself going back and forth between being centered and self-centered. You can see how the quality of your suffering changes as you occupy and vacate your awareness. See how the quality of your suffering changes as you go from sad, to scared, to angry, to happy. When you become aware of that part of you that is suffering, you can carry it around with you like an infant. Give it love and attention and let it know that everything will be ok.

You never why someone holds #anger for someone. What happened to them and why they have a chip on their shoulder. I'm sure people would be kinder if others were once kinder to them. It's hard to #trust people, regardless of who it is. Sometimes you wonder if you can still trust yourself throughout all the madness of the world attacking you daily. You begin to wonder if the world will actually overtake you and you want to just give up and give in and walk #dead with the rest of them because that's exactly how you feel because you've been hurt so much so you wanna turn to #drugs you wanna turn to #Satan you wanna turn to a mean partner who barely wants you, you run to what you think might #fix yourself because you're about to lose your mind so you become #irrational and you start #losing#control and you stop caring and you start being mean to ourselves and even being mean to others or just in general, forgetting....that #Jesus is there for our #hardships and He is available to heal your pain. You don't have to carry it. You don't have to lash out to others. God collects every single tear. What's hurting you? Who broke your heart? God is there for you and ready to hold onto you and help you carry your cross. He knows you are #suffering somehow. He knows why you're not so nice sometimes. But if you stay in that constant state, it will begin to create an #evil within you. A #desire to be #hateful . And that is a serious problem in God's eyes. So no matter what happens to you in life, don't let it change you for the worst. Don't let it destroy you. And no matter what..don't allow yourself to #destroy other people.
This was a very painful lift. It’s seems that life’s greatest wisdom is that the more truth you can tolerate, the greater worth you will have. Perhaps the greater the pain you can endure, the greater the glory you will reap. I often think of super heroes and Jedis in this way. Think of the Herculean challenges. Who would Hercules be without them? Who would Batman be without his parents dying? Who would Luke Skywalker be without him not knowing his parents and him seeing his aunt and uncle murdered? So, maybe the answer to life is to somehow find a way to be grateful for the tragedies. It’s either that, or you let those tragedies destroy you! And through all of this I pray you find hope! #purpose#philosophy#pain#pandamonium#pandamoniumpowerlifting#wisdom#sacrifice#tragedy#sadness#transformation#suffering#meaning#HOPE#logpress#log
"I don’t get much sleep
I’m not sick, I’m fine
I’m just tryna make the most of this limited time" - Atmosphere (Song : Flicker)
Sometimes it's easier to not explain, not delve into the pain I feel because realistically it's not something I think people should want or even have to deal with. It may hurt but it's better to hurt on the inside than burden others with something so trivial that even I wonder sometimes why I let it cause me pain. Emotions dont make sense but atleast we can control who we express them to.
Living life has made me realize how much I can't trust people. But also how much people can suffer from things they hold in their hearts because they think that it's so menial that they're ashamed to tell people. Don't be me. Talk to people
Next day. Same coat. A whole different view. Thank you to @ambassadorslpch@drsuemccreadie . I am so appreciative for the vulnerability you gave me the space to be in. To hear each other’s stories . To validate our own and empathize with each other. #lucilepackardchildrenshospital is so lucky to be cared for by this vital and beautiful group of people. I dare say the expected goal of raising #200k to have the support in place to assist with the incredible mental toll it takes on the parents of babies in #nicu . I will be there whenever you need me. What an incredibly moving luncheon. I have never seen a room filled with as many lightbearers as I have today. @drsuemccreadie , always in your debt. You lead by example. You teach me. Thank you. Bless the children. Bless the parents. #suffering#support#healing

Having understood suffering and its origin, the future Buddha than faced the next question: how can suffering be brought to an end?
By remember the law of kamma, the cause & effect: “if this exists, that occurs; that arises from the arising of this. If this does not exist, that does not occur; that ceases from the ceasing of this.” Nothing happens without a cause. If the cause is eradicated, there will be no effect. In this way the process of the arising of suffering can be reversed:
If ignorance is eradicated & completely ceases, reaction ceases; If reaction ceases, consciousness ceases;
If consciousness ceases, mind & matter cease; If mind & matter cease, the six senses cease; If the six sense cease, contact cease; If contact ceases, sensation ceases; If sensation ceases, craving & aversion cease; If sensation ceases, craving & aversion cease; attachment ceases; If attachment ceases, the process of becoming ceases; If the process of becoming cease, birth ceases; If birth ceases, decay & death cease, together lamentation, physical & mental suffering and tribulations.
Thus, this enter mass of suffering ceases. If we put an end to ignorance, then there’ll be no blind reactions that brings in their wake all manner of suffering. And if there’s no more suffering, then we shall experience real peace, real happiness. The wheel of suffering can change into the wheel of liberation.
