It changes the everything. Genuine gratitude is literally life changing. Waking up everyday, even when it’s Monday + you have a mile long to-do list. Even when you get a flat tire. Even when you’re sick. Even when your kids are being CRAZY. Even when you have to go to Wal-Mart at 5pm 😬
Waking up, and practicing an intentional attitude of gratitude changes it all! It’s super cliche —— you can’t change what happens to you but you can choose how you react —— reacting with gratitude will make everything SO much more peaceful.
After someone cuts us off in traffic, do we automatically feel thankful for having a car? No, not right away, that’s not realistic...we are all human and are going to have those moments...we are definitely guilty of singing along to worship music while driving + then mid-sentence, yelling at the person that just cut us off... | who can’t hear us btw | 😬
But that’s why we say practice...we try to start every day off with prayer + journaling, in a grateful mindset.
Don’t wanna get out of bed to workout? Stop + think for a minute how blessed you are to be able to workout. Don’t feel like meal prepping? Stop for a minute and think about the fact that you have food to prep...like everything, change takes practice♥️♥️♥️

Ain’t done one of these in ages.... but 2 year transformationnn 😭.
DEC ‘16: I had literally just been gymming seriously for about 6 weeks and I was so happy with my results 😂 funny cos I’ve always had quite a perky bum so I’m not sure if there was actually any serious changes. It’s nice to look at these throwbacks because the growth chileee. As well as physical changes I have become so much more confident. I used to train in the women’s only part of my gym when I was by myself as I wasn’t confident enough to do exercises downstairs (duno y) and I was scared to go to the weights section.
➡️➡️ FAST FORWARD TO NOV ‘18 and you can’t really keep me out of the weights section 😂 deadlifting 90, squatting 80, THE GROWTHHHH CHILEEEEE (oh and I’m 7kg heavier... which I was scared of at first but I love itttt).
Done a pretty good job if I do say so myself

And let's change the way we treat each other.”
Let’s Hit that 🔙! 💪💪
Today I’m sharing my back/low back & hamstring workout, AND I’m reflecting back on when I first started lifting almost 5 years ago! 😱🙏
THE WORKOUT 🏋🏻♀️:
1. PULL UPS 3x7-10
2. BENT OVER BARBELL ROW 3x12
3. ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS 3x12
4. SEATED ROW 3x12
5. BACK EXTENSION 3x12
⏮ rewinding way back to 2014 when I started getting serious about weight training, I was SO terrified! 😫 I never really had a gym buddy in the weight room. My gym at that time was mostly girls using the cardio equipment, and ONLY guys in the weight area 🙄🙄I started going at 4/5 AM so I could explore new things and workout completely solo in the weight room. Eventually I built the strength and confidence to train next to the guys. Thinking how much I’ve grown since then is mind blowing🤯
These days, I feel empowered at the gym💪Not afraid.👸🏼I’m lifting weights sometimes heavier than the guys next to me. (And I know I can do more pull ups than a lot of them😆😄) ..it’s a lot of fun watching yourself grow. 🤗
My intention of this post is not only to share this back workout, but to remind you that we all start at the bottom, and that we all have fears, & insecurities. BUT we also all have the ability to MOVE BEYOND ALL OF THAT, and GROW! Stop doubting yourself, get over your fears and kick some 🍑
Enjoy this workout and keeepp killing it!!! I see so many of you out there at the gym on IG, and it inspires me! So I’m just returning the favor ❤️🙏✅😘
Have a happy hump day, workout Wednesday, WCW... etc. etc.❤️❤️

I have a little confession... Yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in 3 WEEKS!!!🙈😣
The last weeks of term meant uni got crazy and I had to prioritise harp over the gym. Usually I manage to do both but I felt so guilty if I tried to go to the gym instead of practicing. I didn't want to force myself and end up hating something I enjoy so much. .
But after a very long break I realised 3 things.
1. If you have a strong muscle foundation it isn't going to completely disappear in a matter of weeks. (Yes I couldn't lift as heavy but I still pushed myself to my max)
2. Rest days are important. I got to the stage where I was gyming 6/7 days a week and never wanting to take a rest. My body was under constant stress which meant I was bloated and tired most of the time (which leads to my next point.)
3. I now have a healthy relationship with food again. As stated in my second point due to training nearly every day I was hungry ALL THE TIME. I could not stop thinking about food, or control what I ate and again lead to awful bloating and guilt. .
So I've realised everything in moderation is key. Most of this is common sense but I'm very happy with my physique right now and I cant wait to get back to training 💪
