When it’s cold outside but you gotta get your miles in😭🥶. Seriously, even my soul was cold in this picture but I’m almost certain no one else feels the cold like I do during a run 🤣. I keep seeing people in shorts whereas I’m in my gloves, sleeves and base layers! Anyone else hating running in this weather or am I just being dramatic?

Early start this morning as wanted to get a quote done, make a start on a presentation and squeeze in interval session of 6x3mins with 2min recoveries. All done and back home for 8:30 and bit of prep before a conference call at 9:20
Surprisingly good session as wasn’t expecting too much being so early and not having had much to eat but my reps were actually faster than the ones I did earlier in the week in the evening!! 👊🏻
#REDJanuary : Day 16 - Evening Run 🏃🏻♂️ ♥️ I finished today strong with a fairly easy-going run. With going back to work recently I had taken today off to allow myself and my body to recover so have not done a huge amount by my high standards. It’s important to rest when you need to, but I also know what is good for my mind... and what is good for my mind is to finish the day with a short run. I prefer to run either early in the morning or later in the evening because these are the times of day when I struggle the most mentally. Running is a form of therapy for me.. it allows me to unwind, let go, and burn off any negative energy. I always feel so much better after a run - even the shorter ones.
Today my mind completely drifted off and has inspired me to write something this evening. It’s amazing how your mind can drift off in to the strangest places. Running/Exercise can do that - it can inspire creativity and deeper thinking as well as being a good distraction from the stresses of day-to-day life! I am now going to start work on writing.. I have to be honest I’m a little bit apprehensive about this one but I’m going to do it anyway! 📝
