In mid July I’ve tried fasting diet for the first time. Ok, so before I begin I’m not believing in diets as usually the weight gets back after you’re done with them. That’s why I want to talk about fasting just now as it gave me some time to see how results are settling. Keep in mind it may not be for everyone as you should really listen to your body, you always have to feel good. —
When I first heard about Ramadan and later about fasting it got me curious to find out how your body and mood changes when you give your stomach a break from food.
I followed the diet for 2-3 weeks, ate twice a day one at 6PM another time 9PM. I drank coffee (no sugar) during the day and I had full protein meals (no added sauces, everything steamed), counting my daily calorie intake (never exceeding it). What happens is that your body gets all energy you need through the day just in a shorter period of time. Your metabolism stays the same because you don’t change amount of food, you change the timing. The beginning was so hard! The second and third day were really unpleasant, and then on fourth I started to feel lighter, calmer and happier. I had one cheat day per week where I would eat dessert or pizza. I lost 5kg in less than two weeks, I was and still am exercising daily. I started to feel very energetic and my sleeping rhythm was on point. Then I decided it was time to stop and I went back to the usual. After one month I lost another 2kg. It really felt like during the fasting period my body got rid of toxins and gave time to reset.😊💪
Conclusion after two months: still not gaining the weight back, feeling strong, I have a great and active mood 💫💫
As I said earlier, every body is different, something that worked for me might not work for you, be careful before trying new things. Start slowly- eat first meal later and later until you feel comfortable. Stop if you’re not feeling well! ❤️
Problems come and go, pizza is forever 🍕🍕
To me, most romantic dates were never a fancy restaurant, flowers and gifts. My perfect date night is looking like this: Take some pizza, grab a couple of drinks and sit down on the pier while the sun is setting behind the Caribbean mountains😍❤️ What is a perfect date for you?
I turned 22 about a week ago and got to spend my birthday doing one of my favorite things. Not hiking, but overcoming a challenge. 💪🏽 I wouldn't say hiking the Petit Piton mountain is one of the hardest hikes/ climbs in the world but with my 50lb camera bag on my back it definitely felt like it haha 😭 But it was well worth it to find this view at the top 🌴
Thanks @laderaresort for having me.
