After months of being held stationary by the heavy fog of new home construction, and as we’re just over a month away from moving in to the house we are building *around* our RVs, I am ready (more than ready!) to venture back into the land of the living! I would love to get at least a couple of camper van trips in before it’s time to winterize Hers. #Fall2018, please, please, PLEASE stay around for awhile! 🙏🏻🍁🐿🍂🙏🏻
🇵🇱 Poniedziałek! ☀️ Kolejny tydzień przygody przed nami 🙌🏻 Mamy nadzieję, że to zdjęcie chociaż trochę poprawi Wam humory 🤪🤪
🇬🇧 Monday! ☀️ Another week of adventure is ahead of us. 🙌🏻 We hope that this photo will improve your moods a bit 🤪🤪
Floors are in ✅✅
After countless hours on Google and 136 pins, we decided to use @dlwflooring vinyl tiles, they're so simple to install, just click it in and slap it down, no glue no nails, no mess. Start on the top left and go downwards from there.
What a weekend! So stoked for the @roambuilt set up for @abenteuer_heim The Roambuilt quality, and design is second to none! I am extremely impressed with the talent of their design, and fabrication team. Cec, and his amazing crew were awesome to work with. Such a great experience, thank you @roambuilt I love my full set up! @kjheiner and I had to make a stop in Stanley, ID to try it all out!
Grey or white van? Which color would you choose? We just happened to park next to another vehicle just like ours but shorter. It took me a minute to realize what was in the background of my photos and it wasn’t #dasMAXimusvanigus !
Finally got (most of) the audio goodies off my living room floor and into the van. Alpine iLX-F309 headunit, Alpine PDR-F50 4-channel amp driving Focal PS 165FX components (still need to get the other pair in the rear doors, waiting on panels and rivnuts, but wire is run), and Alpine PWE-S8 powered subwoofer mounted in the wall. Might add another PWE-S8... we’ll see once the rear speakers are installed.
This is for all you introverts out there and for those who want to understand us better 😉. I came across this from @risingtidesociety@annanaylordesigns (it was posted on a chalkboard and looked more playful than here) it made me laugh because it’s so true.
GET TO KNOW YOUR INTROVERTS
Not antisocial but prefers authentic connection with a close few at a time (otherwise we get drained).
Not intense but craving deep and meaningful friendship with many layers.
Not sensitive but empathetic and highly absorbent of surroundings (we feel things deeply).
Not quiet/shy but listeners (we can’t do that while we’re talking).
Not standoffish but getting to know you (we love people too).
A quick blast to the OP + back was made extra special because of our dear friends Chris + Allison. They heard we were gonna make the dash back and forth + suggested we take their beautiful and oh so cozy Sprinter Van for a test drive to see how we would like it since we’ve been lookin’ at them closer and closer and closer. A test spin to see what we liked and what we’d change. Incredible! Trav + I are MUCH MORE comfortable as givers v receiving but their thoughtfulness and love accompanied us on this adventure and we loved staying in their mobile-home. Incredibly grateful to have these sorts of people and lucky to call em friends in my life - thank you! Thank you! And, obvi, we fucking loved the wheels! Now, I am still hoping for street neighbors + van neighbor adventures together. 🌾✨♥️🍂🍁🌱🌅🌿🌊🐾
We started this year with thousands of dollars in credit card debt mostly due to me having to put grad school tuition on them but I’ll admit to indulging in a few material things that I didn’t need too! •
Today we celebrate being DEBT FREE and Perry signing the lease for a SECOND LOCATION 💥
To celebrate we’re taking *insert van name here* to MA and upstate NY. Its our first (make shift) trip in her and my goal is to name this baby! Build out starts soon! Any name ideas ??? Leave them in the comments 🚐💨

Dinner prep in progress. Making Indian curry tonight 🥘🍠🥕🌶 When we were converting our van, we had two main criteria: good/big enough kitchen and a comfy bed. As a result, we don’t have as much ‘living’ space as other vans our size BUT I love my kitchen and our bed is huge! We end up lounging outside most of the time, anyway. 👍😊

The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea. So we chose to detour to the Oregon coast on our way south. His tongue sticks out more than ever before and he’s down to one tooth, but this little champ is recovering from his fall earlier this week. Thank you for all the kind messages! 🙏
Are you on team platform bed or convertible bed? Comment below!
We love having our gear stored safely and cleanly inside our van, but we also love hanging out in vans with a dinette that converts into a bed. Our van’s design allows for small group seating, but not 6-8 people like some vans we’ve been in! I think that if we were only using the van part-time with a home base to store our gear, we would consider having a convertible bed, but for us now, we’re happy with the fixed platform bed and a giant gear garage!
What’s in the garage: bikes, backpacking/camping equipment, inflatable SUP, skateboard, skis & snowboard, extra shoes, yoga mat, table & chairs, and burning man costumes
