Sports shoes. Read below 👇👇
I get it. I love rugby🏉 and weightlifting🏋️♂️. Most sports shoes have a lifted and pointed toe, a heel drop, a non-responsive or thick sole or completely compress and compromise proper feet functioning.
Unfortunately, with some sports, you can't go barefoot or with minimalist shoes. Sports like rugby, skiing, snowboarding etc. simply can't be performed without shoes that would every feet nerd like.
What I can recommend to athletes with these problems is to use them as little as possible.
Only wear boots for games and outdoor training. Take off the ski boots during lunch and on the way there and back. Always try to find ways how to minimize their wearing. Also after the activity give your feet some time. Stretch them, roll them out, mobilize them, throw on some toe spreaders. •
When it comes to sports like weightlifting the best way is to train most of the time barefoot (Or as close to that as possible. I get that some gyms don't allow you to go completely barefoot. But try as much as you can- socks, barefoot footwear, crossfit shoes). You will not only improve your mobility but also allow your feet function properly. And then only use weightlifting shoes for the heavier sets of your big lifts.
And the rest of you? You have no excuse to wear sole-stuffed, feet comprising shoes.
Happy feet👣 to y'all 🖤
