Post hill-sprints. Some body weight + very light weight accessory work.
Hill sprints definitely kicked my butt. I use fire hydrants on the street as markers for distance. Continue reading for my super scientific methods on measuring distance for hill sprints. .
It goes something like, the distance between fire hydrant 1 and 2 is about 30s; between fire hydrant 1 and 3 is 45s; between fire hydrant 2 and 3 is 15s. .
Now, judging by how hard I am running and the time it takes to get from 1 to 3 I would guess the distance is about 200m give or take. Making the distance between 2 and 3 feels like about 75m-100m. .
Today's hill sprints started at 1 run all the way through 3. Walk down to 2, sprint through 3. Walk all the way back down to 1 as an active recovery; 3 total rounds, 6 total sprints = toasty legs. ♨️
Track work Wednesday. This week definitely felt better. Met some pretty amazing ladies and the positive attitudes surrounded the track. A lot of tiring warmups followed by five times around the track at different paces will definitely be the cause of my sore legs but full nights sleep tonight. 😁 The weather was perfect too!! #halfmarathontraining#stpete#florida#track#speedwork
TOMORROW NIGHT join us for our weekly speed workout. Meet up and bag check at @harlemunitednyc (306 Lenox Ave, 2nd Floor) or 7pm at the workout location, which is the Great Hill! We will meet first at 110th St and Lenox Avenue (entrance of Central Park) and head up to the Great Hill together. See you soon!
W3D3: #workoutwednesday at the track! The weather was awful this morning (84-85 degrees and humid because we’re getting storms today) and I seriously did not think this workout would go well. But I NAILED IT 👊🏻. If living in AZ has taught me anything, it’s that I CAN do hard shit. Cheers 🎉. .

Feeling strong after taking the days off I needed last week! 8 x 400s between 1:40 and 1:45 pace (closer to 1:45 towards the end 😬) 💪🏻 I’m really seeing how much rest can actually help! 😂Starting to love these speed days too because I get breaks in between 😍 Have a great Wednesday guys 🙋🏼♀️
