I am very honored and excited to kick-off this year’s podcast season with a very special interview! You have all heard me talk about meditation, and the app that really got me started is @insighttimer. I was introduced to the app in 2010 by my former therapist as a tool for me to cultivate mindfulness and learn meditation. I started with the timer for 5 minutes. I remember feeling like that was a really long time! The app would show you when other people were meditating, and you could see where they were in the world. I was fascinated by it! After you finished your meditation, it would say – “you’ve just meditated with 35 people” – and I would think – wow, that is so cool!
Well, Insight Timer has grown since I first started using it …… just a little bit, haha! It is now home to 6 million meditators, offers about 15,000 free guided meditations and courses, with over 3,000 teachers in 25 different languages and is rated as the top free meditation app in the world……. and today we are talking to the person who is responsible for that growth. Our guest today is the CEO of Insight Timer, Christopher Plowman. Christopher spends most of his time thinking about how to accelerate the benefits of meditation around the world. He believes deeply that every individual deserves access to a free daily meditation practice and is focused on building a sustainable company, consciously.
Listen. Be inspired. Then download @insighttimer and become a subscriber now and help change the world, one meditator at a time! #SoundMindandBody

EXPLORE: To seek out new experiences, information, and education with an open mind. To get outside your comfort zone and try out new territories of mind, body and soul. As Sheila says, “When I think of exploring I think of that feeling of excitement, and being a little scared when I’m trying something new. That’s what I call those woo-woo moments.”
ENLIGHTEN: Through experiencing and learning, your mind, body and spirit are enlightened. You discover new thoughts and feelings, new ideas and attitudes, and new places for you to shine. The result of being enlightened is that you evolve.
EVOLVE: Sheila believes this is a life purpose to do her part to evolve in this lifetime, which in turn will help the entire human race evolve. In order to evolve we must be open to explore and experience new things, new thoughts and new habits. Through that we are enlightened and see our world differently.

Blue Crystals will enhance your communication and strengthen your self-expression. They will also stimulate your ability to express or communicate your deepest personal truths!⠀
These crystals are associated with creative identity as well. They are aligned with the planets Neptune and Mercury, and they resonate with the water sound. A balance of blue colors will bring trust and faith in yourself and in others. It will also restore or increase the peace, joy, and tranquility in your life. #soundmindandbody⠀
#woowoowednesday with our previous guest @leighkoechner 💗 Listen as she tells her personal story of her most Woo-Woo moment! It took place at a meditation studio where she experienced during a guided meditation an entirely new dimension surrounded by millions of stars.. “so far beyond words” as she explained it. She not only had this breathtaking experience, but she also saw her deceased parents up in the stars… to listen to the full clip flow the link in our bio! We assure you this definitely is one of our favorite #woowoo moments! #soundmindandbody
Looking back over this year I am so grateful for the many guests we’ve had, all the things we’ve learned, and how I have personally grown and changed through it all. I was so nervous to launch this podcast, yet I just kept walking forward. When there were obstacles, I just powered through, or swerved around it - always with the goal of putting out an episode that shares inspiration, information, and the love and light that shines in each of us. I couldn’t have done it without Tim Edwards, my producer extraordinaire! He always goes above and beyond to make sure the podcast is top notch! We have some great plans for 2019. Stay tuned for a very special one year celebration episode! #soundmindandbody
In this new episode meet one of my lifelong role models, Nancy Davidson — aka NahNah. Nancy was the person who first told me about Louise Hay and gave me the book “You Can Heal Your Life”. She taught me how to make a coffee latte and bought me my first cappuccino maker. She also bought me a “Do It Herself” pink tool box complete with a hammer that has a fuzzy leopard handle. She was a single mother that never compromised her own happiness just to be in a relationship. She taught me about the importance of supplements, juice fasting, and even how to do a coffee enema! Nancy is also my son Michael’s grandmother, his NahNah — and for decades we have followed what “NahNah Says” for health and beauty and now you can too! Look for more NahNah Says posts in the future!
