Well folks, I finally made it through production of Volume Two for @modernhuntsman, which largely accounts for my absence on here, or from normal life for that matter. Getting this issue to the finish line took every ounce of energy that I had, and a lot that I didn’t, so I apologize if I owe you an email, text, or phone call. Things are almost back to normal, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve created –– it really is something special. I should have advance copies in the next day or two, and will make sure to share as soon as I do.
In the interim, I’ve been resting, recovering, and exploring the public land around the house, which was the best way I could think of to decompress. Autumn colors are in full swing and the surrounding peaks have mostly received dustings of snow, which has made stalking the riverbanks and ridge lines with a bow all the more therapeutic. It seems like poetic justice that after I spent over 3 months of my life on an issue about public lands that I get to go enjoy them less than a few miles from home. So thankful to be in Montana at this time of year, and look I forward to the road ahead with Volume Two.
Thanks for everyone’s patience and support, much more to come soon.
While climbing up to 1000m in Babia Gora National Park in Poland I found myself stopping every few hundred metres. Not because of the gradient, but because every break in the trees framed another beautiful autumn view of the opposite side of the valley. I’ll miss the leaves when they’re gone.

@mcgee killing it with the classic "in awe" instagram model look 😂 while exploring underground.
This will always be one of my favorite photographs of my and my boys. I was sick, but the weather had finally warmed up enough for them to play outside. So I got out the bubble machine and sidewalk chalk from out summer adventures and we played on the porch. (The rain washed the chalk away) What’s your favorite mom image of you and your kids?

Photographer @itseriksen escaped the city and threw on a pair of skies to capture this insane view 👉🏽 "The endless opportunities you have for clear night skies are many when you get out of the cities. I like to combine my photos with outdoor activity, like this one: a camera, a tripod and a couple of cross country skis. It was awesome getting to put so many faces to names, see so many friends, and even make a few new ones this weekend. S/o to @sek.ops for hosting an awesome meet; here’s a classic shot from it 🌉
