Happy #PolaroidWeek to one and all! I’m playing catch up still. Fell asleep last night trying to post yesterday’s polaroids. 😴😆 Without further ado...
#PolaroidWeek Day 2
Spirit World Rising
Impossible Project BW round frame film
Do diptychs work with round frame? 🤔
For our last night in Taiwan we visited the famous Jiufun, the town built into the mountain was inspiration for the film Spirited Away. Walking through the narrow streets of numerous food vendors calling out for us to have a taste, I could immediately see the similarities. Every corner we turned I expected to see No-face waiting to offer me a gold coin.
"Polaroids from China pt. I" and "Polaroids from China pt. II Monochromes" and "Loneliness online" series in Piekno Panie Gallery (Lublin, Poland) U can still visit exhibition until May 11 ❤️

Raining lots where I am today, kind of missing just being able to relax outside at lunch-time. I've just been going through old photos again and found this one. I took this waiting for a friend in St Anne's Wells gardens in Brighton #2007. I'd just got my first digital camera a #Casioexz15. I look more chilled out then I felt at that time I really wasn't very happy but spending time in #nature has always made me feel so much better. Interesting recently I find I can relax more then I used to in human made environments. As ofcourse we are nature and have created our environments from nature, human-made = nature-made but my favourite thing to see is tree roots coming up through pavements 🌱 and plants classed as weeds (such as wonderful nettles) reclaiming disused land. I love living near the coast and looking out to sea but if I feel sad or have very low energy I always like to be near trees and spend time in the woods🌳 im rambling a bit today hehe, maybe I just need to remind myself I don't need to go out into nature to feel the benefits, I am nature to. #naturelovers#thoughts#somewheremagazine#stanneswell#brighton#lovebrighton#itsme#self#peaceful#parkgarden#sussex#blossom#springtime#england#uk
Down the east coast of Taiwan lays the National Park of Taroko, with winding rivers carving through marble stoned mountains, and multiple hiking trails that allow visitors to trace through. After missing my first train I sat on the next taking the 3.5 hour trip from Taipei towards the park, only to decide mid way through the trip that it would be best to stay in a local hostel in Hualien. If you ever have a chance to visit the city I recommend the wonderful people at @comfyhostel their warm welcome and helpful tips made the stay amazing!

For the remainder of the trip, much of my exploring was done solo. Reaching various parts of Taiwan using the incredibly efficient metro systems (Get on it Toronto). I traveled to Shifen Old Street, where thousands of tourists gather to walk down the old train tracks and release colourful hot air balloons/lanterns in the sky wishing for good fortune.
