While my grandparents may no longer be here to see us get married, I have the absolute pleasure of using my Nan’s sewing machine to make my dress... she made my dresses all through school and for my aunty’s wedding... it’s a beautifully poignant moment to know that she is still involved with this dress too... #somethingoldsomethingnew
I’m not very traditional, that’s for sure. But this is something I really wanted to do and had with me yesterday.
Something Old - a 1972 Canadian cent, tying both Tim and I together with his year of birth and my country of birth.
Something New - a necklace engraved with my late mums handwriting ‘Love Always’
Something Borrowed - diamond earrings borrowed from Tim’s mum, they first belonged to his great aunt.
Something Blue - a charm with my mums photo in it with blue jems and ribbons, so she could walk down the aisle with me.
