First introduced in 1999, the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) has two main units - the control unit and the balloting unit, both joined together by a cable.
The control unit of the EVM is kept with the Presiding Officer or the Polling Officer. The balloting unit is kept within the voting compartment for electors to cast their votes. This is done so the Polling Officer can verify your identity.
With the EVM, instead of issuing a ballot paper, the Polling Officer will press the Ballot Button on his balloting unit, which enables the voter to cast their vote, indicated by a green light on the control unit.
A list of candidates names and/or symbols are available on the machine, with a blue button next to each name. The voter presses the button next to the name of their chosen candidate, and the red light next to that candidate glows. A slip gets printed in the VVPAT (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) that remains visible for 7 seconds, after which, with a triumphant beep sound and a green light, your vote is successfully recorded.
Both the BJP and the Congress are committed to making India an entrepreneur’s dream destination. However, they each have their own plan for how we’ll get there. Here are some of the juiciest bits, straight from their manifestos:

Did you know that the Rabbit Vibrators have been around since the 1980s? It was made in Japan and because of their "obscenity" laws, the sex toy could not be produced in the phallic shape that we are privy to in some US states. In fact, that's also the reason for the kiddy colors and animal shapes.
The Jack Rabbit pictured above, despite being out for awhile, was not popularized in mainstream culture until it made its appearance on Sex and the City. *FYI: this is very brief history of this toy. #preventioniskey #sexualhealth#sexpositive#sexeducator#socialworker#LGBTQ#sex#sextoys#adulttoys#jackrabbit

On this sunny day, take a walk for me while I sit in the car for 6.5 hours 😭
Being outside is therapeutic and healthy in so many ways! Who thinks walking therapy is a good idea? Seriously considering offering it! #socialworker#outdoortherapy#selfcare @avamariedoodles
1, that's my REAL hair on the back. #Locs#TeamNatiral .
2, I do have brown hairs in my beard but just not many.
3, I know I'd pull this look off IRL! 😂😂
After days of being sick after I learned my son was a carrier of a flu strand, I'm feeling much better today. Good thing because I have final papers and one final exam within the next 10 days then I'll officially be DONE with #GradSchool ! Also, my 32nd #Birthday is in 6 more days, April 27th and I REALLY don't want to be sick that day. Although I don't do much on my birthday these days as it's also the anniversary of my second near-fatal #Suicide attempt, I prefer to be thankful for life and to reflect on all of the accomplishments I've had in these past 7yrs after being given a THIRD chance at living. On May 22nd I'll be graduating with my #Masters in Social Work, moving back home to the Chicago area where I'll have the summer off before I begin my #Doctoral program. I'm so grateful for everything I have, both tangible and intangible, my family and friends, and my support system that's stayed by my side through thick and thin, good times and bad, struggles and successes. I love you all and I'm truly thankful for you all. ♡

There is consensus that military personnel can encounter a far more diverse set of challenges than researchers and clinicians have historically appreciated. Moral injury (MI) represents an emerging construct to capture behavioural, social, and spiritual suffering that may transcend and overlap with mental health diagnoses (e.g., post‐traumatic stress disorder and major depressive disorder). The Expressions of Moral Injury Scale—Military Version (EMIS‐M) was developed to provide a reliable and valid means for assessing the warning signs of a MI in military populations. Looking ahead, the EMIS‐M will hopefully advance the scientific understanding of MI while supporting innovation for clinicians to tailor evidence‐based treatments and/or develop novel approaches for addressing MI in their work. The work is ongoing but there is every reason to hope progress will be made for our veterans in this area. #bulletproofingthepsyche#thisispublichealth
I’m not going to bullshit you.
Signing up to work with me might be the hardest thing you will ever do.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I need you to understand how this really works - no sugarcoating.
CLIENT EXAMPLE #1 👇
Being an only child taught her how to spend time alone. As the daughter of an alcoholic, she learned that relationships are unstable and unsafe.
Occupying and distracting herself was a survival skill. If she hadn’t mastered that at a young age, she would be forced to feel the loneliness, isolation, fear, stress, and trauma her young brain could not process.
Because we cannot function properly under chronic stress, we begin to rely on certain substances and behaviors for stress relief.
Maybe it’s drugs and alcohol.
Might be gambling or sex.
Could be cutting.
It could also be food and eating.
We deduced together that she eats when she feels lonely and uses food to provide her with a sense of companionship and connection.
It’s not because she has no willpower. It’s because this was one of her primary survival mechanisms growing up.
STRESSOR: isolation, loneliness.
STRESS-RELIEF: food, eating.
SOLUTION: dismantle core belief that other people are dangerous and harmful; form and strengthen relationships with others; stop eating for comfort.
After discussing this, she said something I hear all. the. time: “But it’s so hard.”
She is absolutely right.
People are messy and complicated and emotional and unpredictable.
Food is simple, easy, tasty, and convenient.
Relationships require you to be vulnerable.
Eating helps you avoid being vulnerable.
People can hurt your feelings.
Food helps you numb your feelings.
It’s hard to change your life.
But what are your options?
Risk being hurt, build relationships, form a support system, and get your happy chemicals from connecting with friends and family? OR stay isolated, numb the pain, and use food as the primary source of happy chemicals?
One results in a healthy network of love.
The other results in obesity.
The choice is yours.
I am not here to tell you that it’s easy.
But I am here to remind you that it’s worth it.

I think that we’re always in this “go go go” mode, and we always think that we have to be doing something constantly. I don’t like letting myself relax, and I always feel like I could and should be DOING something. This is your friendly reminder that it’s okay to take a break, it’s okay to relax, it’s okay to not be doing something 24/7. Happy Easter ✨

So long as it comes from the heart and no one gets hurt, go ahead and help. However, sometimes help or care isn't welcomed and that person may get angry or upset because boundaries are crossed. Be discerning as to what constitutes as care & concern vs interfering and manipulating.

#Homelessness isn't always permanent, but it's definitely more common than most people think. Once our team members shared their story, more and more friends and co-workers feel like they can open up about theirs. These are real messages we've gotten that we made anonymous #tech
