One of the highlights of our trip to Ireland was hiking on the Dingle peninsula. We started at the Blasket Centre in Dunquin and followed a well-signed loop trail. The views of the rugged coastline over there are wonderful!
Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light;
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
I loved every single place we visited during our last trip in Ireland, but I must say that being so lucky to find the Sheep Highway completely empty, without a single tourist in sight, was really awesome. Maybe it was because of the weather, but worth it anyway!
Several weeks into our trip, we've only had a couple of days that we didn't at least experience a few hours of partial sun, and it has made the Emerald Isle even more stunning than it would have been otherwise .
Of course, being Ireland, the weather has definitely been unpredictable as well, and I've been living with my raincoat in the back of the car--but we sure have appreciated every single second of these blue skies .
