Baltimore! I am coming to the Charm City for a pop-up and a workshop at @trohv on Saturday 9/29. The pop-up goes from 12-4 and the workshop goes from 4-6. More info and tickets for the workshop in profile link!
Today I tried out @julia_henze#skillshare class «Urban Sketching for Beginners: Watercolour Sketch in 3 steps»! It was a great class and I picked up a lot of tips and tricks from just that one class (I’m going to check out the rest as well!) 🙌🏻 From my years as an architect student and my brief one year as an actual architect - I remember that there was always necessary to get the details right. I still got this feeling set in me, that «it has to be exactly as it appear» or «The measurents must be double checked or else we can make an expensive mistake»... but classes like this reminds me that as an illustrator / painter, the important part is choosing what you want to display, and that I got the freedom to sketch, free of rules and economical issues and all that jazz. Have a great saturday #watercoloreveryday
Ta-da! Finished Monochrome Misty Pines inspired by @whatacolor_gal Skillshare class! Ben calls this my foggy forest and I think that is fitting! 😂 I loved learning Trupti’s technique and will enjoy doing this again (and hopefully better next time!) 😆 If you still haven’t joined Skillshare, you can find a link in my bio for two free months, as well as a link to my own class on watercolor cacti!! .
