- Lady of the Sunset.
Ink, graphite and color pencils. << A bountiful cheer came from the throats of her men when she emerged from the hall, all clad in her black armour. I stood un front of her, and we kept the look upon each other. Many things I wished to tell her, things from the deepest inside of me. But I knew it was not the right time. War was upon us, and innocent men were levied and turned into defenders. Poor souls who had no business with war. We had to protect our lands, our home. I came to protect her, as she had protected me all this time. - Your mount is ready, my Lady.
- We march now, and meet them in the field of battle.
- My men and I will keep our shields close to you. And...
- Please, don't die.
- You too, don't die.
We left the keep, marching under the setting sun. For many of us that was the last glimpse of sunlight. >> #sketch#sketchbook#drawing#ink#illustration#medieval#fantasy#fantasyart#warrior#guerrero#shieldmaiden#womanatarms#armour#womaninarmour#spearman#sunset#war#battle#sun#beauty
This is by far the craziest colored painting I have completed. It is 9' tall x 7' wide and was commissioned by a former Canadian Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador and I'm just a small town (population 800) middle of Nebraska boy.
