Day 9 of #30Daysof30
When was the last time you laughed until you cried? Until the back of your head ached? Until your belly jiggled away in hysterics? That laughter that leaves you smiling for minutes, hours or even days after the event? Think about it. Have you had a good old laugh recently?
We get so wrapped up in the seriousness of life sometimes that we forget how easy it is to smile and to laugh. Days or weeks can go by without a single recollection of laughing or smiling. .
We’re too busy to smile sometimes right? .
When was the last time you smiled at yourself in the mirror? Smiled at a stranger on the street? Smiled for no reason? A smile has the power to instantly lift your mood and your mindset yet sometimes we don’t do it enough.
Watch a funny movie. Listen to a comedy show. Read the funniest jokes on Google. Reminisce with friends about the funny times (like what’s making me giggle in this photo!) and have a good old happy cry, belly shaking, actual rolling on the floor laugh and see how it lifts your mood.
Laughter makes us feel GOOD! This decade I vow to laugh WAY more and never forget the last time I had a good old chuckle. It really is the best medicine!
➵ quaint little stops to pet baby pigs + pick little pumpkins with my darling girls. today, i am thankful for people who make me happy to be alive... oh and for baby pigs, baby pigs are the best 🍂🐖✨ #seekingbeautyamidstthemundane
Intention. What do you intend today? It is my intention to offer a spark of inspiration for your daily vitamin (& mine too), so that the day goes a little smoother, a little lighter, a little cooler 😎 Hit my instastory for #TodaysIntention 😘
THANKFUL: This is 28.
A little bit blonder (hair 🙋🏼♀️ and brain 🧠... 😉), a little bit humbler 😌, completely sober🍻 (not a goal, but still 🤟🏻 #pcs) and WAY more thankful 🙏🏻.
LONG POST (you’ve been warned ⚠️).
This year has been one for the books 📚. I finished another postgrad 👩🏼🎓, completed another coop 👩🏼💼, and started a new job 👩🏼💻. This summer was also memorable 💭 because of what happened as a result of the accident (not the accident itself, I don’t remember that).
I learned how strong, patient and solitary I can be🧘🏼♀️, and how much farther I have to go 🏃🏼♀️. I realized a whole new level of FOMO and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be (but let’s be real, it’s not great lol 😅). I rediscovered passions 📚📝 I used to love and found joy in new hobbies 🌸🔮🌙. I learned who my real friends were 👯♀️ and those bonds grew stronger 💪🏻.
Although, the strongest bond 🤝 is with my favourite lady 💕 my mom👩👧. She made the worst of times feel a little less bad 💔 and continues to help me on my road 🛣 to recovery everyday 📆. She’s also my biggest and loudest cheerleader 📣.
The love ❤️ and support 🤲🏻 I have received over the summer ☀️ has been amazing. Thank you 🙏🏻 to everyone who took the time to make sure I knew that I was in their thoughts 💭 wishing me the speediest 🕢 of recoveries 🙌🏻. Thank you for the birthday wishes 🎂 too 🤗. Your well wishing words of love ❤️ and encouragement 🤘🏻 mean more to me than you’ll ever know 💫.
Recently I was in a place that had no pottery studio. But I found some clay, and made a couple of thumb pots. Very relaxing. Better than using my thumbs to play on my phone, anyway. Obviously had to bring them back home to fire and glaze.
The ducklings couldn’t wait to try out the new pond, it’s not quite finished but they loved it anyway 😊 I repurposed the kids old Slip ‘N Slide to line the bottom and sides of the pond and we were all go 🦆 💕
