I know it’s snowing outside and I’m loving it. But I finally got a free moment to download some shots of the last bit of great fall color from the backyard. Don’t know what this plant is, but it sure was colorful.
While walking to Lake Louise we came across this scene. This Black-billed magpie was constantly chirping and pecking at this other dead one. I am not a bird expert but it was my belief that the bird was either it's partner or family member and the bird was mourning the death. It was very sad to witness the emotion of this bird but it just proves that animals do understand and feel. 🐦
