As classic as it gets, Sako bolt action rifle with a simple but good 4x40 rifle scope. Perhaps the perfect setup for deer hunting, or varmint for that matter as it's in .243Win caliber, a very flat shooting accurate cartridge. Superb quality, stylish and quite good looking. Yes, I love it!
Hunt barefoot? I don't know exactly how effective that would be but in theory it might actually work. Good shoes are of course practical but not necessarily always very quiet, as you simply can't feel the ground under your feet.
Shoes protect and keeps you warm, a very good thing, but not very sensitive to the ground. I'm curious, got to try something new; barefoot shoes!
Looking at these Skinners Athleisure, just have to try it. Anyone else using something like this? Input and ideas are most welcome!

Why are women better natural rifle shooters right off the bat? Let me tell you a little story to explain my own personal experience. When I first met Alma she had never hunted or even fired a gun, so I did what every reasonable hunter would have done, I taught her how to shoot. To begin with we fired a few .22lr rounds to teach her the basics and she did really well. In fact, she did so well I wanted to push her a little bit more so we went and got a 6PPC Sako rifle I was using for fox hunting, extremely accurate caliber with really low recoil. I set up targets at 200m and we started shooting. We were shooting at plastic trolley balls that had drifted on shore and she was hitting them like she hadn't done anything else her entire life. I was really happy but at the same time a little confused, I had been training and shooting my entire life and here she was on her first day as a shooter and making it look easy. I decided to up the ante and I set up a target at 420m. I dialed the scope, pulled the trigger, made a hit and said now it´s your turn.
I was certain that she would fail......she didn´t. She pierced that plastic ball on her first attempt. I was happy for her but at the same time a little confused, is rifle shooting really so easy?
I started breaking it down in my head and I reached the conclusion that women never do anything new without knowing all the facts. They are not afraid to ask questions. They are really determined to do well. They are way more precise than us men. The fine movement is better. And most importantly they take instructions and follow them resulting in an accomplishment in whatever they are doing. These fine virtues make them better students and more likely to succeed right away, even at hard tasks. We men could learn more from them.
A fun fact at the end did you know that a majority of factory welders in WW2 were women? Due to their precision, determination and hard work ethics, women were making up one-third of the construction force for B-29 bombers.
