Finally Retwisting my hair! 😍
I just used Dr. Bronners Peppermint soap for a deep clean. I let the soap soak into every lock then I rinsed until the water ran clear. My hair always feels incredibly light afterward 💫 #ThickLocs 💍 #DrBronners
Hmmm 🤔 experimenting with some style ideas. Whatcha think?

Ok I lied, there’s two things I dislike about having Sisterlocks. Yes you guessed it, the notorious “band and braid”. I miss standing in the shower and just letting the water run through my hair and scalp, especially after a workout or after a long day at work. It was actually one of my favorite self care moments lol. Now, I band/braid and then use a spray bottle to saturate my hair with the sisterlock shampoo, lather and then rinse and repeat 3 times while standing very uncomfortably over the kitchen sink. Unfortunately because of my very soft hair, I’ll be braiding and banding for a very long time. 💆🏽♀️Oh and btw those rubber bands are so annoying. I threw them away the first time I had to band/braid and now I use these kiddie ponytail holders. Much easier to take on and take off. I still use the sisterlock shampoo, I know there are some people that don’t like the shampoo but I know that it helps to roughen up the cuticles on my fine/ soft strands so I’ll keep using it until I’m told otherwise by my Loctitian. I do have the Suave clarifying and Trader Joe’s Tea Tree shampoo on standby just in case I ever run out.
