#tbttravel 2019 Japan 🇯🇵 Photo 29 - Naruto whirlpools (鳴門の渦潮), Tokushima Prefecture 🗾
The Naruto whirlpools 🌊 is a natural phenomenon that occur in the Naruto strait. It is created by the large volumes of water moving between the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean between high and low tide. Combined with the unique underwater geography of the narrow strait
The whirlpools 🌊 are not dangerous to boats 🚤 and it can also be viewed at the observation deck under the Ōnaruto Bridge (大鳴門橋). The deck was once built for the proposed Shikoku Shinkansen. However, no progress has been made on the train line
The whirlpool is a famous symbol of Naruto city (鳴門市) 🏙. A type of Japanese fish cake 🍥- Naruto was named after this famous whirlpool 🌊

the famous Shimonada Coffee sells plain black coffee that one may well describe as bland. but i think what makes this place a popular checkpoint in ehime is how the mini-van of coffee tells a minimalistic and just happy way of living that is craved by all who behold it..

Library from Heaven. 🙌
The small mountainous town of Yusuhara is home to the most beautiful library I’ve ever seen.📚
Yusuhara Kumo no Ue Library was designed by famous Japanese Architect, Kengo Kuma, and includes a rock climbing wall and grand piano (used for this reflection).
It’s also the only library I’ve ever been to where you have to take your shoes off before entering! 🙅🏻♂️
Keep an eye out for Kengo Kuma’s work on the new $1.4 billion dollar National Stadium in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics.🥇
