Since Gin is one of the broadest categories of spirits we decided to collaborate with @joliseattle and Cognac Small Talk host @anthonyujr. We will give you a brief history and answer common questions about Gin in this weeks episode at amanaboutstyle.com. Three Gin drinks you should try. (Link in the bio)) || #amanaboutstyle
After the lunch at Wild Ginger, I followed it up with a $33 dinner named by @seattletimes as one of the best values for #SeattleRestaurantWeek: #Lakehouse at the #WHotel in #Bellevue.
It was surprisingly busy on a Monday night, on account of Microsoft bringing in so many programmers, engineers and techies to the Puget Sound region on November 5, 2018. I saw them at my hotel, which was connected to the Washington Convention Center. They were also here in Bellevue, a substantial suburb with a massive downtown. It reminds me of a more walkable Century City. It was only 15 minutes east of downtown Seattle ... by bus! Sound Transit 550 made it so easy to travel, and for non-Seattleites, the bus runs in a subway! Sharing its road (and tracks) with light rail. It’s quite mind-blowing to see if you’re not from the area.
Anyway, back to the food.
Like all #SRW dinners, this was $33 for three courses. To say it’s a value is an understatement. Some main courses are $33 a la carte.
• Starter was #honeynutsquash soup with pepitas and pomegranate syrup. Eating a squash soup on a cold night feels like bundling up in a warm blanket, and squash doesn’t need much to be flavorful in its own right.
• The main course was a medium-rare top #sirloin on a bed of pumpkin purée and roasted root vegetables. I can’t get enough of winter squash, so I was thrilled with this pairing.
• Dessert with an apple bar a la mode. Don’t be fooled. The light green color is not key lime, though I would approve of a tart dessert if it were offered.
I then chose to take my savings and keep the bartender busy.
• The #cocktail was a cucumber ginger lemonade. It’s a garden fresh #gimlet with gin, ginger and herbed with mint leaves.
Brunch is served! 🤤 Giant waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream are a match made in heaven, wouldn't you say? You can find this wonderful waffle at Local 360 Cafe & Bar right in the heart of downtown Seattle. P.S. If you're in Seattle, they're serving 9am-9pm this Thanksgiving. 😉
the best meal to close out #seattlerestaurantweek with 😍 // wagyu beef on risotto cake with beef consomme (so wholesome 💓💓), uni cream fettuccine with ikura (a bit too salty but still very good), wagyu steak with fingerling potatoes, soy bean panna cotta with azuki bean paste (light and creamy 👌🏼)
Probably the best Seattle restaurant week dinner I had for this year! Every dish is 🥰! - CARMALIZED BRUSSEL SPROUTS
- OLD STOVE CLAM AND BACON CHOWDER
- WOOD OVEN ROASTED MARKET SALMON - GRILLED USDA PRIME SIRLOIN
- LAVANDER CHEESECAKE
- SEASONAL ICE CREAM AND SORBET
I'm just out here chicken you out 😉

@nishinorestaurant anniversary omakase $55. the first & last photos are sushi assortment and desserts for 4.
my favorite was easily the friend black cod battered in rice flour, spinach & mushroom in ponzu sauce. the albacore came in only 2 slices on top of salad, loved the lotus fries though! poke glass was aight! & my least favorite was the miso soup with green mussels & salmon.
this was my 3rd time doing omakase at Nishino. most dishes were very similar to the previous years, only the painting/artwork displayed change. 😜 i still love it! friendly staff & incredible service! try their omakase if you’re afraid but still can eat somewhat raw stuff! #seattleblogger#seattlefoodie#eatguide#foodstylist
Third stop for SRW was a girls night out at this amazing restaurant.
Amazing because the food was great, service was incredible and noone bothered us but kept attending to us without getting in our way. Even after the bill was settled we were not rushed to leave . Our glasses continued to be filled and we enjoyed a great night.
This is the first time ever like ever that I have paid for a salad.
As a part of SRW I picked salad for an appetizer and it was just perfect. Spinach, apples, sunflower seeds. Simple and my kind of salad. If all salads were like this, then sign me up. For main course they featured a special on the menu which was hailbut in a broth with potatoes. It was incredible and for dessert I chose a tiramisu.
Am definitely going back. This restaurant is perfect spot for a date night, get togethers or a girls night. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
